That's the same video that I saw. It's what prompted me to do the experiment. I got the same results. I know there was a comment made earlier about testing the units and found that the axefx was superior, but used in a musical format, especially playing clean chords in a finger style manner...

Smooth does lessen the warble, but also increases latency. However, I still revisited the comparison..... Digitech still did the best job with larger shifts. Tonality remained truer to original with less warble. It's not a night and day difference, but easily audible with clean tone.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing the axefx (or my kemper for that matter), just discussing a difference in that particular effect. For that matter, the old GSP21 I used to use in my rack has a particular chorus sound that I have never quite been able to duplicate.

I will check that, but is there a setting that means it remains the same regardless of whether I Bank up or down? All the other scribble strips changed to whatever the new presets are.... this one doesn't. But, if I'm in any other mode such as effects or sayings it changes just like the others...

I'm not having any problem getting the music into the axfx from the phone... Just using the same cord I used if I was using fracpad and when I go to Amazon music etc and play, it comes right through the axfx to the speakers. That's not the problem, right now output volume one is controlling it...

My Kemper had ability to recall user adjusted effects you could name. When you dialed in a amp or effect, you could save it with whatever name you chose. Then when you selected that effect or amp, you would see your user list just like in axe edit library. Very handy. Would be cool if that...

Out of control low end on some amp models 4.1

I'm having a real problem with the low end on some of my models since going to 4.1 from 3.04. It sounds like when you turn the bass up on a speaker until it farts. The shiver is the first model that came to mind. I can bypass everything and then go into editing the amp and drop out the bottom...

Maybe it is a rehash, but doubling the processors increases the heat in the enclosure compared to the Ultra. As far as noise, I didn't complain about the noise, the II that I have is not that bad. Heat is much more of a concern. Just made an observation that since unit creates more heat than...

Your right, but cleaning it once in a while is not worth potential increased reliability. You do the same thing with laptops, power amps, etc. not very difficult.

One technical problem I'm having with new II

When I had my Ultra, I ran into the same problem. Fractal replaced my encoder and solved the problem.... not that it was that big of a problem to start with. It still changed the parameters and programs fine, just sometimes took slightly more turns than others. considering how backed up...

erratic encoder more erratic

My encoder knob has been very touchy for months, but now it's doing a new trick....sometimes when you turn it left or right, it only increases value. Has anybody else experienced this problem? Fractal is sending me an encoder, but I am wondering if that is the cause. Help me out guys!

Citrus RV50 is a home run for me.

I used Orange 80 amps (non-master volume) back in the early 80's. The original Orange cabs didn't use V30 or any kind of Celestion. The cab itself didn't have a lot of high end, but it complemented the head fairly well. They used black, square-magnet speakers that looked alot like CTS or...

That is exactly the point I was trying to make. If your fortunate enough to not need it...fine. But having it there would help all of us less fortunates. No, seriously, a wider range would be helpful. :P I would be for pretty much anything that increases the flexibility of the current...

It also adds more complexity for what often needs to be a quick and simple adjustment. Adding a few more bands of EQ doesn't really increase the complexity. It's not necessary to turn this into a "mine is bigger than yours" contest. I happen to have similar experience to what you've...

So what your saying is you don't want them, therefore nobody should? Just because I don't use particular blocks on the AxeFx doesn't make me think they shouldn't be there. It just adds more flexibility for live situations. As far as detailed changes, Do you have a lot of experience gigging...

Why would anyone object to a more effective global eq? For those of us that do a lot of gigs, pa's change, acoustics vary, etc. Being able to make quick tweaks at a gig can make all the difference. With so few bands eq, it really limits what you can do. You don't want to go into the individual...

Couldn't agree more! Why anyone wouldn't want the option of better global tailoring eludes me. No one says you have to use it, but it would be nice to have the option.

How about a global eq with more bands and frequency range? That would really be helpful to compensate for different playing environments, especially if you're running to different house systems venue to venue. I don't think the global eq on the Axe-Fx covers a broad enough range for a system...

I think you are really missing out by not learning how to use the wah. If you think of Hendrix, for example, you don't hear a wah moving in a set pattern like an auto wah. He used it in the same way you use vowels, etc. to communicate. You really should practice with the wah using the mindset...

Encoder issues

I've still got a couple cans around here. I was just curious how many others were experiencing this same problem. I will open it up and try that first. If not, I'll just have to replace the encoder. it's not a big problem yet, but it does need to be addressed.
