Yes, and everything seems to go fine at home. But I don't know if playing outside I may have issues.

    Amps in stereo (physical amps)

I guess this question has an easy answer but I don't get it. To avoid ground loops and phase issues in a two amp configuration, something like the Radial Bigshot seems to solve that problem. But if I want to use the stereo outputs of my AX8 straight to the two inputs of the amps, do I need two...

I remember the "Pablo Gilberto" one:D, a couple from Joey Tafolla and Petrucci that I couldn't finish:confused:, and one of my favourites from our forumite Larry Mitchell, many years ago (I remember the patch on his multifx was called Ocasek;)).

recomended small combo amp for AX8?

I'm using a DV Mark DVC Guitar Friend. It has more than enough volume for live use (I've never needed more than half of its 50 W), good bass response, sounds great and weighs nothing (8 kgs).

    Mini Expression pedal for AX8?

Valeton Surge EP-2: https://www.thomann.de/es/valeton_surge_ep_2_mini.htm A friend of mine modified mine with a footswitch, so now I can use it as my Mission SP-1, wah and volume in one pedal.:)
  14. J

Is there a mini expression pedal with toe switch?

I'm looking for something like my Mission SP-1 to control vol and wah on my AX8 (and on my Boss MS-3), but smaller. Seems all the ones I'm looking at, like Dunlop, Valeton, AMT, etc, doesn't have a toe switch, so I must go to a different preset if I want to use the wah. Anyone knows if there's...

Did you sell Axe Fx/MFC after the purchase of the AX8

If you haven't used it in months, it's very likely you won't use it again. Too much money sleeping in the corner and losing value. Sell it, you can always buy it again 2nd hand if you feel you need it.

Is stereo useless when FRFR speakers are too close?

Common sense and everybody's opinion (including Matrix) says to me I should better forget about stereo on stage. To be sincere, I've never needed it in 25 years and a few thousand gigs of playing. But it makes me feel really good and when I've tried (usually with headphones or in-ears), it has...

Is stereo useless when FRFR speakers are too close?

Sent an email to Matrix yesterday and this morning had their answer, very informative: For a single speaker yes I'd recommend the FR12. Ideally for stereo you should have that distance really but it will still work at shorter distances. Basically the further you can get the speakers apart...
  20. J

Is stereo useless when FRFR speakers are too close?

Thanks for the answers! Note that Matrix talks about phasing issues when using FRFR speakers, not guitar cabs. I've played many times with two amplifiers in stereo on stage and, even though the stereo spread wasn't very noticeable because they were very close, I had no problem with phasing or...

Is stereo useless when FRFR speakers are too close?

This thread got me thinking: https://forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/2x12-cab-stereo-or-mono.128641/ I found this article from Matrix saying that running FRFR in stereo is useless unless speakers are a few meters away, because tweeters would cancel each other, and there would be phasing issues...

Assign booster and delay to F3 switch (Not a Bug)

Not a big deal but a bug I thought it would be solved in this firmware, just like the manual says: SCENE 1/2 TOGGLE Switches between Scene 1 and Scene 2. The F-switch LED is off for Scene 1 and on for Scene 2.

Best amp to run Ax8 through??

It's just one way of using it: I'm just re-doing all patches from my Boss GT-100, which I've used for 3 years with the Mustang. Wish Scene 1/2 Toggle Switch Should Light Up on Scene 2

Thanks for your input, TFC, and sorry OP for the off-topic (kind of…). I've had the QSC K10 and although it sounded very good, I didn't found much difference between it and the Alto. There's a difference, of course, but that doesn't justify the difference in price. And K10 fan annoyed me a...

    Noise Gate needs upgrade

I have the Axe Standard and the ISP Decimator. Decimator is, without a doubt, the best noise reduction in pedal format, but the noise gate from Axe works incredibly well. I just adjust the threshold, and that's it. Never had a problem with sustain, but I must say I don't use extreme high gain.

Those of us with Standards, it's okay.

Of course, Axe II has improvements but for me they're not worth the investment. At least until I have the opportunity to try one, maybe then I'll change my mind, but for now I'm fine. About 1st feature, I can give you a very good solution, waaaay cheaper than the MFC or the Axe II: GSP1101 +...

If you don't want or can't carry too much weight (like me), try the Koch Studiotone combo. 15 kgs (33 lbs), 20 W class A, more volume than you could think of in this kind of amp.
