    X/Y Cuts Off Sound

Three ways around this: adress an external modifier to that switch instead of go x/y or use scene changes - or use another amp block with the Y setting and switch between the amp blocks. Mike

Cool. Perhaps the sequencer controller set to 1 stage? Mike

    Tempo controlled modifier

No, just the frequency; hence the Q - I'd love to use that tremolo instead of the pan/trem block. The bias trem sounds muck more musical and organic to me. :) Mike

Well, it seems that you're right; reducing CPU load makes the Axe responsive again... Thanks!!!

User error? AxeFx II slow on preset/IA updates

Nope - neither the Axe or the LF+12 are hooked up to a computer. Still the same delay. Sorry, should have mentioned it.

User error? AxeFx II slow on preset/IA updates

Sorry if this phenomenon have been posted before; I didn't find anything that resolves this... For live use, I've set up a pretty massive preset that covers a lot of sonic bases (using X/Y's). The preset is controlled by LF+12 - giving me a lot of LF presets using CC's to turn on/off the...

Advice on creating a Kee Marcello-esque lead tone?

Kee used a Folkesson-modded Marshall head (Folkesson did change all of the interior of the head and replaced it with his own cirquit boards) and of course L'arrivee guitars. Amazing player; kills on just about any style - not only 80's rock. Great fusion/jazz player as well.

Best wireless system to work with the Axe2?

Well - being this anal about tone, I'd probably go cable on that budget... but if I needed to go wireless, then the L6 would probably be my choice. It sounds jus as good as ULX series IMO - but there's still tonal loss. Mike
  21. M

Best wireless system to work with the Axe2?

A lot of people will say that the L6 stuff is great. I'm extremely pecky on tone; the Shure UHF-R line is the closest to a cable I've gotten - and therefore the one I chose. It did cost me like five or six times the L6 stuff thou... :( Mike

Are the amps' 'Boost' accessible with a MIDI control pedal?

Haven't tried it - but on the Ultra, you could control that via SysEx. I suppose the II would work the same way.

    LF + AFX2 X/Y

Sorry - my bad; I misread your post and thought you only wanted to switch between the X and Y states, - not turn the block off from the same switch. Mike
  24. M

    LF + AFX2 X/Y

Yes, but you'ld have to setup different cc values for on/off states; eg green cc 100 value 000, red cc 100 value 127. Mike

Axe 2 can change the channels of the amplifier?

Nope - you need relay based switching for this.

    Ok - I'm in.

Just received my II as one of the first here in Sweden, and I'm excited to start digging in. Brand New LFjr. acting really unstable???

AFIK, 2.09 is the latest one. Are you using any Mission expression pedals? I've heard of people getting into trouble by using these. My LF Pro has (2.09) never failed on me whatsoever - could you have gotten a faulty one? Mike

LFP: IA re-process on preset load problem

Sean, I'm at work right now, so I can't tell for sure - but I'm at least 99% sure that there's no modifier attached. I should say that if I turn "IA re-process on preset load" off in the LFP, then the Ultra loads the preset as it should...

LFP: IA re-process on preset load problem

Yes it does; I've checked and double checked it. It's only when I load the preset that it turns the effect off despite it's saved on state. What really bothers me is that the phenomen doesn't apply to all effects (e g the tremolo is disabled on preset load while the leslie isn't - both is saved...

Liquid Foot as a Channel Switcher?

I use an Skrydstrup MS-8 (discontinued) that works flawlessly; CAE Japan makes one, Nobels, Axess - I'm sure that anyone you choose would work fine as long as the relays is controlled by MIDI CC and/or PC ... Since the switcher don't handle any audio signal, thete shouldn't be as many...

LFP: IA re-process on preset load problem

OK, I'm a bit lost here... I need to use the IA re-process on preset load function in my LFP (as it's controlling my Eclipse as well). The problem: WHY does this only work on some presets?!? In some of the presets, the IA block is disabled although the IA state on the LFP is on (green) - and...

    Global amps

PLEEEASE tell me that it would be possible to switch between my global amps via sysex to be able to switch amps within a single preset...? Mike
  47. M

    Making Use of Global Amps

Well, It's actually quite easy; just add a modifier to the IA switch - if you'd like to change a drive pedal from mild OD to full-blown distortion then change the drive model via sysex and change the drive rate via a modifier. The same goes for pitch level (mix), delay level and so on - just add...

    Making Use of Global Amps

I use them extensively; I've built a virtual system that incorporates just about anything I need, reducing my patches to just a handful. Playing a 2 amp 2 tone configuration live?

I'm sorry if this seems stupid (and no, I haven't read the other post), but if you were to send multiple CC commands from the same switch (like in the LF Pro/Jr), then you should be able to turn one amp on while the other gets a cc command to turn off? This way you wouldn't need shunts, and no...
