    Since I can't see the trim light at gigs and I use the monitor for a full dynamic band mix, I just have the master up full, then turn up,the trim to the volume I need, usually about 11 o'clock. Tis way I know I won't clip.

    MFC is up to date. Odd problem seems to be getting worse without changing FW. I don't think 10.05 will fix it but I plan on doing the upgrade this week. Been using fractal for last 4-5 years, not seen this before scenes introduced. Maybe it is a HW issue, maybe some bad memory.

    On the outside of the rack case. If you have a plastic case it should work fine. A metal one may act like a faraday cage. But worst case you can do what I do, also it may depend if you have to butt the back of your rack against something etc. P

    Chris, yes but it's not the same as the bypassed sound, I tried that. Presets were re built after loading 10, problem occurred in 9 though, Seems to track back to when I started using scenes. I posted about it in 9 but no one else had seen It, I was hoping it went away in 10 but alas not.

    Hi Chris, the problem is a big volume increase not drop. It did happen once with the vol pedal disconnected. The sound also tends to be loud and clean. As well.

    In my (limited) experience a great standalone guitar sound does not translate to a great live full band guitar tone that cuts through. So you need to work on that premise wen dialling in tones, also work at gig volume. Thin and harsh sounds better in a mix than thick n chunky. YMMV

    Put it this way, before I got my RCF, I had a QSC K8 as a monitor used in the same way with the full mix, it was awful, then I used a K10, better but not by much. With the RCF I have a real clarity of all the instruments

    I'm probably going to replace the RCF with a CLR and that will run the full band mix. I don't need 2 monitors. As for IEMs. I tried them and don't like them at all, it also makes on stage communication withe the reso of the guys difficult.
