Mojotone ’59 clone humbucker or the ’59 clone low output

Does anybody have either the Mojotone ’59 clone humbucker or the ’59 clone low output humbucker? Looking for some thoughts if you do. Have watched videos on both and like what I hear, what would be ideal would be a video of both head to head but cant find one. (not a big deal) As for what I...

Denoising strat - shameless request for recommendations

My noiseless journey with my Strat: After determining I wanted to go noiseless back in 2011, watched a bunch of videos, got people’s opinions, and tried when available. Went with DiMarzio, Area 61 for the bridge and area 58’s for the middle and neck. At the time I was busy as hell and took the...

I just want to make sure I have this straight: Two more microphones added. And microphone placement is the full 360 degrees on the speaker. The packs are not to be installed in the Axe Fx but worked within Cab-Lab 4 then exported to the Axe Fx after desired result. Dyna-Cab's installed on the...

Best input to use for recording acoustic guitar with mic

Have got great results with a 57 in the past. Recommend starting with 57 about 8-12 inches away from the 12th fret. (Out in front of 12th fret) Leave the 57 there and angle it towards the body as needed. Some guitars are boomer than others. Also single performance with the 57 and the L R Baggs...

How do you setup your guitars?

45 years playing It was always 10s but the past few years-- Gibson scale 9.5 Fender 9.0 Still like 12s on acoustic I do have one Gibson that just does not feel right unless there are 10s on it. (Flying V)

modern vs 50's wiring. what do you prefer?

^^^ Yep ^^^ As for the talk about treble bleed / 50's wiring. I use 50's. However, I have used treble bleeds in the past with good results. (about 44 years of this) But the more I though about it, while reading this thread. It seems there was a pattern with me, if the guitar had all humbuckers...

Crackling noise when take out hands of the strings

Sounds more like outside interference to me. That oscillation along with that steady popping. Cell phone, wifi, something along those lines. That being said, your string ground may not be the best and need a little attention. Or is it all guitars? On the Axe Fx have you tried the ground lift?

What Prompted You To Buy A Fractal?

The AF Standard was a problem solver for me, that’s the way I viewed it before it was in my hands. Those 2:00AM record/practice sessions.
