    USB Audio PnP Status (Linux)

It's never been officially supported, but as a PnP audio device it should just "work" like other USB interfaces (like my Scarlet one), theoretically with any OS. I was able to get it to work with some tweaks a year or two ago, I even hacked AxeEdit to work under Wine, but the glitching was bad...

    USB Audio PnP Status (Linux)

Last time I bought the FM3, I was hoping to make it the center of my audio world (interface, recording, gigging, everything). But the USB audio was glitching out and I returned it. Just wondering if anyone has a setup doing either of these: 1) Linux based (I use Manjaro and Jack) 2) FM3 on...

    FM3-Edit + Wine

The issue I had was not MIDI, which worked fine natively, but the FM3-Edit communication, which does not use MIDI but a USB protocol. I was using VB with Windows 8, so maybe 10 could have fixed the problem, but I refuse to install that trainwreck :)

    FM3-Edit + Wine

I returned the unit, so I have no idea if the issue is fixed. It was very close, but fairly unusable to me without USB support. It may be fixed in a future patch! But yes, everything worked fine once set up correctly, except for the things mentioned above.

    FM3-Edit + Wine

I was an Apple fanboy back in the day too. I know the system pretty well, in college was when I made the switch from OS9 to the brand new X, which was Unix based with a nice GUI. In fact that's what got me into learning Unix. But Linux is far better for me, for several reasons. In fact I'd...

    FM3-Edit + Wine

I spent a huge part of two days troubleshooting this and returned the FM3. My discoveries after many hours of research: - Wine will not work. Even if you set up the serial port correctly (I tried various ways) there are custom drivers which won't work. - Eventually I gave up and set up a...

    Output #2

It was just a long, cheap, standard guitar cable, hiss and pops kinda stuff. I wasn't really surprised, but changing the cable was so much quieter! The other cable is just a standard balanced TRS to XLR, as far as I know. I'm only using the "L" output on Output 2 to the FRFR.

    Output #2

I'm using Output 1 ---> XLR ---> Desktop monitors for my interface/USB audio, and I'd like Output 2 to go to my FRFR speaker. I tried a simple TS cable and it was rather noisy, but then I tried a TRS ---> XLR cable and it was far less noisy. Granted it was thicker and shorter, but why does...

Is there any reason to be concerned about running CPU near Max all the time?

Sure, it will sound great, but the FAS stuff has the exact models the Ethos is trying to cop.

Ok great! I have found that I like both the Bludo cab and one of the EV12L models, with drastic low/high cuts: 220 - 4000 or so. This closely mimics the feel I got from my "real" 1x12 cab when in the room and off-axis.
