FRANK GAMBALE'S CHOP BUILDER - A FINGERING QUESTION

Hi folks. Does anybody else have Frank Gambale's Chop Builder DVD, who could answer a fingering question? I can't work out a useable fingering for Round 5, Exercise 4 (C Mixolydian in 6th's". I'm blind, but have perfect pitch. I've also asked someone for the string and fret numbers...

Anyone have any thoughts about the Godin xtSA?

I had one for awhile. I didn't like the trem, but I'm not a big trem user generally. If you like wider/chunkier necks, you should really like it. I liked it enough to sell it and upgrade to the LGXsa

    Mesa Mark V

One thing I don't get about the Mark V is ... No MIDI connectivity??? In this day and age?? That seems like a serious oversight. But yeah, I want to try one too! Any recommendations on a good 1X12" or 2x12" to mate with the head??

    Best nearfield studio monitors

Here's another vote for the Adam A7-X's. The A7's were already great, but the A7-x have added some improvements. Approx. 40HZ to well above what you can hear - very clean neutral-sounding highs. Keep in mind that even a low 7th string tuned down to A will still be above where the low end...

    I am a Viking....?

hmm 1970's marshall with some sort of overdrive in front. Helps if you're playing a strat with the pickups he was using back then. Go at it like a bull in a china shop for the attitude. Wow, good to see you posting again! Cynic sounded great in Toronto, despite the muddy sound of the particular club. What do you and Paul think of the new Steinburgers compared to the classics? I'm new to them, and just when I find out the main idea of them is a solid graphite neck, I see the...

I've always liked EMG's. I have yet to try the new X series which claim to have more headroom. Want more headroom with the older EMG's? Wire them to use two 9v batteries in series, giving them 18v. This gives you a lot more power on reserve for those hard-picked notes (their initial...

I believe Youthanasia was all Marshalls, usual scooped trebly Megadeth sound... A big part of Friedman's sound is the Seymour duncan JB-jr and no tone control on his signature Jackson Kelly. All Solid State Power Amps Sound the Same?

Stephen, You don't need 50-70 watts if you have efficient speakers. Look on the back for their sensitivity rating. It probably says something like 90DB 1W/M, which means they are capable of 90 dB with 1 watt input, measured at 1 meter (3 feet) away. If they are at least that efficient, you...
