Yes, I had seen that post and understand it. I think the bottom line is if Fractal wanted a more do-it-for-me option they could enable something. Granted I doubt it would appeal to virtually every forum member here.

for casual fractal users it’d be a nice feature to be able to toggle on default cabs - like if you’re using the fm3 or fm9 without a computer being able to scroll through amp models and have an appropriate cab automatically load, so you don’t have to go to the cab block each time.

the headbone VT looks like it has a jack to control remotely so you should be able to use the FX8 relay to switch between the heads

I usually only run into CPU issues when using two reverb blocks - but yes if you are always using all 8 blocks there is the chance of going over.

I actually just went back to a FX8. I had one when they first came out but then got lured by some pedals and ended up with a boutique multi-thousand dollar pedalboard. And though I much prefer the immediacy of turning knobs all the other advantages of an all-one-in add up. I hope they continue...

At first I tried the drive block in serial with auto engage, but couldn't make it very smooth. Now I've been using the drive block in parallel and that seems better but yes, it's quite like using 2 amp blocks in the FXII.

There would be a huge market for someone to make an alternative for the MFC-101

second hand ones are sure easier to come by than new ones. It still is beyond me that fractal hasn't solved the supply issue with these yet. They've got to have left a lot of $ on the table with people looking elsewhere when there's no MFC's available.

I think it is more akin to price gouging than bait and switch. either way, fractal has done this several times and it doesn't seem have any real negative impact among their customers. still strikes me as the wrong way to go about a limited supply.
