    The Verve is "coloring". I was the one that did the corrective EQ IR. It was unusable without it. The CLR is as flat as it probably gets, Dynacord 2nd, RCF 3rd. (from those I personally know).

    I tried two on top of each other. Didn't work for me as the wide dispersion leads to interference (comb filtering) and destroys the otherwise perfect sound. IMO they have to be spaced/angled accordingly.

    1&2 are the same take (at least the same recorded take) and sound more present. The other 3 are the same alternate take and a bit more muffled in comparison. Not a difference that couldn't easily be eq'd. The sound character is almost identical otherwise IMO.

    Kind of. That's not really a fair comparison, but the Laney holds up pretty well. It's a bit more bass heavy and has a slight dip in the mids. It may "feel" more like a guitar cab for some. I just sold my Laney because I could get the CLR for a good price, otherwise I would have kept it.
