I've been using an e-bow for a very long time now. Does anyone have a suggestion how to use EQ on the Axe in order to not have to use the tone knob on the guitar? I hope I'm making myself clear here - for a not too harsh sound I always turn the tone knob fully down - I'd like to be able to not...

Anyone using Red Sound FRFRs?

I have a pair of Elis.8 and love them. I used to used Atomics but they were way too heavy for me. The Elis are small but can be very loud, I use them live as well and they can cope with drums easily.

Chase Bliss Automatone vs Axe Fx

I have a Chase Bliss Automatone and I love it -though it's definitely overkill and someone more skilled than I am could probably reproduce those sounds on the Axe Fx III. That said I think that the Chase Bliss preamp is so easy to dial in AND to adapt to playing situations that I wouldn't want...

It's pretty much a C minor tuning with no A's or Ab's so it could be C- dorian or aeolian. The baritone neck is tuned (low to high) G, C, F, Bb, Eb, G, C.

It doesn't really have a name. It is loosely based on the so-called Picasso guitar Linda Manzer built for Pat Metheny in the 1980s. But his guitar has 42 strings....

Help needed with Input settings (pedalboard)

I need your expertise. I run my pedalboard into Output3/Input 3 and (I think) since updating to Cygnus Beta I have trouble with overloading - distorted the Input signal. Dialing down the Input to -15dB doesn't alter anything. So, I guess I'm doing something wrong - the signal from the...

Looper with FC vs seperate pedal

Depends very much on how you use loopers. The Axe can't save loops so if you play with prepared loops you should get a dedicated pedal. I have several loopers (Blooper, Mood, soon a Hologram Microcosm) that can do things that the Axe can't but I also use the Axe's looper for live looping...

I once sold all my pedals but missed some, so now I have a pedalboard with some special pedals, e.g.Plus Sustain Pedal, Chase Bliss MOOD, Maneco Sweet 16 DD, Red Panda Particle V2 and an Eventide H9 - they sound great with my III :-)

I don‘t think so. G66 is only getting started with the waiting list and there seems to be none FC-12s in the first shipment. Next shipment is due at the end of May from what I‘ve read. So be prepared to wait until summer, I guess.

No sound from Mac by USB

I have a comparable issue that sometimes when the III is connected to my Mac, iTunes doesn‘t work, very strange. The guitar sound is still there but iTunes just doesn‘t start the tune. When I unplug the USB cable it‘s fine again...

Three Amp Blocks?

I‘d definetely use three amps for my acoustic guitars. I currently use two Tube Pres for the stereo output, I can divide the strings in the stereo panorama. With a third Tube Pre I could use the onboard mic totally separate. That would be fantastic!

I know, Tim wrote on the forum of his site that he uses the Bludotone amp with an RC booster for the distorted tone and a Carol Ann for the clean tone. He also uses a stereo delay for both sounds and the plex detune for bigger, ambient textures. Hecuses the studio reverb algorithm for reverb...

If I understand these options correctly, I can get rid of my mixer since I can easily incorporate the VG-99 I have within the III and I can -theoretically - feed software effects/Ableton looper from my Mac into the III and control them with the EFX loop, am I right?

You can't compare Apple with Fractal, I think. Apple is a kraken that (almost) doesn't pay any taxes at least in Europe. They don't pay minimum wages in China - read the reports. I use a lot of Apple products but when it comes down to it Apple together with (insert name) are the downside of...

I use one preset per song but these are often identical presets. I name the presets after the songs so this is very convenient. Since I use a lot of different guitar (4 to 5 per gig) I need different amps and settings. I have three different acoustic guitar presets (steel, nylon, baritone) and...

As far as I can see, the Tube Pre has not been G3ed yet. I have a strange issue, I have some acoustic patches for a stereo input (Input 2 rear) which use the Tube Pre. Since updating to FW18 these patches are dead or issue some digital hiss and cracked. I rolled back to FW17.04, same result...

Do a search, some Axe II user uses the Bose system and likes it very much. I heard it at the Musikmesse with a Kemper - sounded pretty good and convincing. I think depending on the music it is a great solution.

AXE FX II -> (2) Bose L1 Model 1's.

Listened to the Bose system on the Frankfurt Musikmesse last Saturday. Sounded quite good (with a Kemper, though). We are a trio of guitar, vocals and bass anld are considering the Bose L1 system. Any experiences with the Axe-Fx? Thanks, Uli
