    another good thing to do is use a cd track you know is mixed well as a reference for you tones (if you're tweaking in a home studio) if you can match your guitar's eq/frequency with the cd track...it's going to transfer nicely in the live band mix

    have always used the axe-fx with a rack tube poweramp into a 4x12 (with poweramp sims on) sounded ok tonight i plugged the axe-fx into the return of my engl head (with poweramp sims off) WOW huge difference. Sounded amazing!! the engl head can't be used with poweramp sims on for some reason...
