    AX8 Firmware Version 10.01

    AX8 Firmware Version 10.01

Same here. I'm super happy with the way it sounds. If something new comes, really cool! If not, it's absolutely fine too. I was talking more about fixing bugs (in my case only one, a loud "thumb" sometimes when switching patches, which is quite embarrassing on a loud P.A. in front of thousand...

    AX8 Firmware Version 10.01

Agreed. Fortunately I never experienced the "freezing" bug, but I'm definitely experiencing the low frequency "bump" from time to time (at least once or twice every show) switching presets. So does the other guitarrist, with another AX8 and the same firmware. It's embarrassing to experience and...

    "Imsomnia", latest firmware

Well, not the latest firmware but the one before. I really dig the sound of the Axe with the last improvements. The song is from our last album "Zenda", out today, available on The Sleeping Philosophers Soundcloud and Bandcamp. BTW, there's a Pink Floyd cover version included:

    Soundgarden cover, "Mind Riot"

While finishing recording a Soundgarden cover of Mind Riot, to be part of the new The Sleeping Philosophers album, we were shocked by the death of Chris Cornell. That gave the song a whole new meaning for us, and here is our tribute to the life and music of Chris Cornell. We recorded a video...

Bug? MIDI PC channel assigned to 5,6,7,8 turns global

  26. psst

Bug? MIDI PC channel assigned to 5,6,7,8 turns global

Exactly, I mean the MIDI PC that Scene buttons can send. 1,2,3,4 work fine. 5,6,7,8 don't work (unless I am misunderstanding something)
  27. psst

Bug? MIDI PC channel assigned to 5,6,7,8 turns global

Can anybody please confirm? Through AX8Edit I edit the PC number each of the scene pedals should send. Everything is fine with 1,2,3 and 4, but when I assign something to 5,6,7 or 8 it stays like that for different presets (not happening with 1,2,3,4).

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 6.02 Firmware Released

  32. psst

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 6.02 Firmware Released

I edited my message to explain a little more. Well, AxeEdit would be nice but for me it would be great in both. If you put that global setting to NO, it would show the controls as you have it now, if set to YES, the controls that are not in a particular amp would not show.
  33. psst

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 6.02 Firmware Released

That's absolutely perfect. So in the general system settings, under "just real amp controls", you will set it to "NO", and the (for example) amps with MID control show MID control even though that actual amp has no MID control. It's just a menu option. I totally understand you want it that way...

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 6.02 Firmware Released

Well, I do have a lot of experience with it (I've had all fractal products since the ULTRA) and this options would be very handy for me too. And would save time checking wikis and stuff. Of course anything is valid, and you use your ears, but it's a very good starting point, and faster to get there.
  36. psst

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 6.02 Firmware Released

Fractal's criteria. If I choose a Twin Reverb amp, the cab would change (if the option to "automate cab change" is set) to the 2x12 twin cabinet impulse that Fractal chooses as a cool sounding one and "correct" for that amp. Of course I could then go to the cab and change it, but I would have a...

Axe-Fx II "Quantum" Rev 6.02 Firmware Released

Well, the idea was just a "mode", so you'd have the option to use it or not. Sometimes the...

I think a cool feature would be a "Axe realistic mode", where the Axe would just show the controls that exist in the real world counterparts (even with their control name, instead of a generic one). For amps, drive effects, effects that are modelled as the Phase 90, etc. That would be very...
