F12-x200 - thiele or celestion design? Who's tried both?

Yeah. Previously i was looking at the Crown xls series. I think instead I'll end up with an Orange pedal baby as apparently it's really got great feel to it compared to many others. I was also looking at some Quilter options before too. In the interim I'll probably grab a tc bam200 as they are...

F12-x200 - thiele or celestion design? Who's tried both?

I checked with a few car audio guys and got a couple of quotes. I also checked with cab builders. It seems my cheapest and best option is TRM cabs. He's already built a couple. The price would be around $180 for pine, $210 for 18 ply birch, iirc. + shipping. That's not bad. No tolex or anything...

F12-x200 - thiele or celestion design? Who's tried both?

I was afraid of this. I can't woodwork for shit. I could measure 200 times and still screw up the cut. I'll have to see if TRM will make the cabs for a reasonable price. :(. I did look into the Forte cabs, but even unloaded they are not cheap and I'm betting i could get someone to make me some...

F12-x200 - thiele or celestion design? Who's tried both?

I've got an x200 on the way via a forum member here. Doug Doppler used Thiele cabs in his YouTube demos and i hear good things about those speakers in Thiele Cabs. Then there is also the Celestion cab designed specifically for the speaker, which def has some thiele-like qualities. Anyway, I...

MIDI pedal that will fit on my Pedaltrain PT-2?

For those that have tried both, what are the differences, other than the display, between the Morningstar MC-6 and the Voes MX-6? If it just the Morningstar has all of the tap, long tpa, double tap, etc. functions vs the Voes better button spacing? Or are there more significant differences?

Jay Mitchell and the power of flat response

I think a good part of the reason why people ask these things is because you CAN easily assemble an absolute top-notch guitar cab from off the shelf stuff. You can be "careless" in the speakers you select vs what the cab is designed for and often still get good, if not great results. So, why...

Gtr amp vs Studio Mons vs powered speakers (QSC, etc.)

Thats what I was thinking, but since I didn't have much to compare it to, I was hoping for some outside confirmation that this might be the case. :-) I guess I need to get in touch w/ Tech21 and see if I can still get some extra tweeters, though the last couple of times I emailed them I never...

    Doubled guitar

I posted this same question in a different thread yesterday (no replies). I too did a search and didn't find what I was looking for. I guess I searched for the wrong thing! :-) One of the solutions on one of those threads was all about setting it up in stereo, which is something I want to...

Gtr amp vs Studio Mons vs powered speakers (QSC, etc.)

As far as connecting, I am running the AxeFx into the FXLoop return on the Bronzewood (the Tech21 Acoustic amp), and on the Power Engine 60T (the acoustic amp version of the Tech21 Power Engine), I am running into the only input. On the Power Engine there is no pre-amp. Just power amp &...

Gtr amp vs Studio Mons vs powered speakers (QSC, etc.)

OK, so right now I'm running my AxeFx through my Tech21 acoustic guitar amp. I've heard people say that having that tweeter makes it sound so much better. If my tweeter is connected or not, it sounds the same to me. I'm wondering if there is something wrong or not, and what I might be missing...

    Electro-Voice ZXA1 - the Verve 8ma killer?

They aren't scheduled to hit the stores till Feb 22nd. If one of my local Guitar Centers has the EVs and QSC K10s & K12s, I'll drag my shit there and try them out. I'll report back if I get to try them.

    The Big FRFR Shootout

    Electro-Voice ZXA1 - the Verve 8ma killer?

I'd be real curious too. At $499, and only 22lbs... When I'm ready to buy I guess I'm gonna have to find a GC that has both this and a K10 and compare. Also has 90* or 100* dispersion angles too.

new peavey amp that weighs 7 lbs?

Anyone tried this yet? How is the sound? Transparent or what? Considering this vs the ART SLA-2 or the Carvin DCM200L
