    Help with a CLR repair

I don't know about Xitone, or about the quality of the power amp in the Atomic CLR, but my wedge worked like a champ for like 10 years without issues before it died. If I get another 10 years out of it, I will be stoked.

    Help with a CLR repair

Just wanted to give a shout out to Tom King. I contacted him in January with a CLR that needed repair. Immediate response on a Saturday from Tom. Got me an RMA set up and mailed up the "guts" of the wedge. Got the unit back on 2/27/23 and it's all good. I forgot how good the CLR sounded...

Atomic Amps - Tom King won't return my amp - IT'S BEEN A YEAR!!!

I just wanted to put some fresh ink on this topic. I got a CLR about a decade ago and it was absolutely brilliant until it blew about a year ago. I let it collect dust for a while and finally got around to email Atomic. I spent 6 weeks or a couple months without a response, which brought me...

U2's The Edge plays through my Axe-Fx2

Two observations from body language: (1) Edge totally digs the drive sound you have dialed in for the beginning of the second verse (04:22). (2) Edge is totally afraid to share a mic with your singer for the double vocal part after the drum break down (05:20-:50)- probably learned that lesson...

Hey all- I am experiencing more hum\buzz than I would like. Other than getting an electrician over here to my condo, I would like some suggestions to make it better. I already have all my gear running into a Monster Pro Power 2500 conditioner (Axe-FX II + CLR). I have tried the ground...

Hearing Protection - Anyone Try These? "EARasers Musicians Filtered Earplugs"

When I got mine, I just called a local audiologist and went in. Cost a couple hundred I think. They poured molds in my ear and fitted them perfectly to my ear. Then on the outside there is an opening and you can pop in different filters depending on the application. -Phil

    Power Conditioner

Me too. The thing I like most about the Monster is that it powers on (and off) in "stages" so the CLR comes on last and there is no "pop" because the Axe is already booted up by the time the CLR comes on. Works in reverse too, so when I flip the off switch, I don't get any pop either. -Phil

I have seen probably more than 100 posts over the past few years where people write some variation of "I just can't get a good sound from the Axe-FX, I prefer my amp, bla bla bla," and someone inevitably responds with something like, "no sweat dude. If your amp works better for you, just sell...

    Atomic CLR after 2 months

I think FRFR is the way to go with the Axe-II. Obvi, if you like your sound and your rig works for you, then roll with it, but if you are using a real cab you are missing out on a huge piece of what the Axe can do- all the cabs. They sound great. I do mainly U2 with my setup. Used to lug...

    Atomic CLR after 2 months

I got a CLR wedge about mid September. When I plugged it in, I expected to be totally blown away. I wasn't. I think the main reason was that I really liked the sound that I had dialed in on my previous atomic FRFR cab and wedge. I re worked my main core amp block for a few weeks and really...

The quote refers to something else. This keeps getting quoted out of context. What Cliff was saying is that on old AC30s if you cranked the bass knob like up to 10, it would create a huge mid range "notch" but that unique sound was due to a flaw in the tone stack- it was corrected on newer...
