AFIII Tackling the White Lion "Wait" solo

We've all been there man (on stage in the dark). Happens to everyone at some point. Two main variables will affect you live...standing up and poor lighting. One thing I could suggest is practice standing up. Maybe turn the lights down too. I'll frequently practice our setlist standing up in...

AFIII Stryper - All For One

Good job. That's one of my favorite Stryper albums and my favorite tone of theirs. I was able to talk to Michael Sweet after a show once and I asked him about it. He said it was all Mesa MkII C+ on that album.

They All Sound the Same Again

AFIII Underground 80s Metal Riffs - Raven - Over the Top

I dig the underground riffs. Keep them coming. just a suggestion, but the full 30 second intro, before getting to any content is a bit long. Most channels try to keep their intros under 5 seconds. I learned the hard way. :)

    FullRes IR vs. Reverb

I thought both sounded really good, but before the reveal, if I had to pick one, I would have picked A. I think we're splitting hairs at this point. It's good to know that on my Rev 1 I can achieve nearly the same thing with the Reverb block. Thanks for those settings!

Any Linux bros here? (Axe-FX III as interface)

I used Linux Mint 20.x for several months and the Axe-III works just fine with no additional drivers or tweaking. Axe Edit worked ok under WINE, but I had to do a hack to get the mouse cursor to show up properly. I wanted to stay with Linux, I really did, but there were other applications I...

    Axe-Fx III 16.00 Beta 5 "Cygnus" Firmware - Public Beta #2

just a thought, as I will be happy with whatever Cliff decides, but what if the Master volume of the amp was made to have no effect at all on the actual volume? Make the Master Volume simply control the amount of power tube compression/saturation at the authentic setting (taper) of each amp...

    EQ'ing presets for live performance

One suggestion I could make if you are running direct to the PA using the cab sims...set the high pass filter to around 80hz in the Cab block. Can the Axe-Fx III do this?

Thank you! That is what I was hoping for. I'd probably get one of those little Boss pedals and dedicate that as the A/B switch.
  60. bstaley

Can the Axe-Fx III do this?

One reason is because I already own two Sennheiser systems. Two, my transmitters are tucked into velcro pouches attached to my straps, so I'd have to remove them from the pouch to access the power button. That would take much longer than simply pressing a button on a footswitch.
  61. bstaley

Can the Axe-Fx III do this?

Then I would have to keep two full presets, along with 8 scenes in sync for any changes I might make. I know there are some options with global blocks, but I would really prefer to avoid that complication.

Can the Axe-Fx III do this?

I'm currently using two wireless systems with my AX8. I have one for my standard tuning guitar and one for my drop D guitar. I use a A/B box to quickly switch between them live. If I get the Axe III, can I run a wireless into Input 1 (rear) and the second wireless to Input 2 and assign a...

    Live AX8: Alice In Chains

I don't have my Ax8 in front of me, since it's packed for a gig tomorrow, but I believe it was HBE V2 for rhythm and lead. For rhythm I use a PEQ before the amp and cut about 2-3db below 300hz and put a slight bump around 1500hz. It tightens it up and makes it more aggressive. For the lead I...
