Default to Per-preset layout at startup

No, choosing presets does not load specific Layouts. As mentioned you can choose what Layout appears on turning on the device, but not as you change presets afterwards. You can however use Overrides on that preset’s foot switches to always load different things on a specific Layout.

interesting. To my knowledge there is no function that makes the hardware footswitches change Layouts or Views when just changing Scenes using the Editor.

    FM3 Edit Selecting Scene 1

So just the foot switch stays on Scene 7? It’s because you changed to the View that shows Scene 7 and changing presets does not change to another View. Scene 7 isn’t Selected. you can see that on the main screen of the unit. Scene 1 is.. Your switches are just showing the Scene 7 switch. A...

    Programming Scenes

ahh i missed it was AX8. you have 2 channels X and Y. so that's the "two amps". you can add a Filter block later in the chain set to the type of Null and increase the level for your boost. have it turn on and off in different scenes or with its own switch for a level boost. i like to also roll...

    Preset Ignore?

presets are all separated. Scene Ignore works because the Scenes "know" what they have to work with. the next preset could have radically different blocks, routing, etc. and the ignore might break the next preset when it loads. the idea is say preset 1 delay is off currently, and when you go...

Wish Block status on the main screen

zoom mode (zoom out) on the grid is already a feature and the best way to see all block at once. it's small because there are 4 rows and many columns. a different unit with less blocks possible can represent the blocks bigger. i can't imagine looking at the screen to find text in some column...

    Adjusting Output Block Level

[not possible] Okay, I'll say it... a second Amp block!

with all the people sharing presets for Axe3 and FM9, the ones i see never use 2 amps at the same time and rarely have 2 amp blocks. of course the features of the higher end units are wished for in the lower priced units, but i'm not sure that's deterring a large amount of customers.

no, we're not seeing what happens, we can start from the intended defaults where the amps should sound their best (amp reset). if your old settings don't sound good, instead of messing with 100 parameters in the amp block to find what it may be, just reset, and adjust the basic controls as a...
