AXE FX ZWO - ist das jetzt ... gut ?

Ja, ist schon lecker das Axe-FX II. Dennoch bleibe ich bei meinem Ultra und spiele so gar mit dem Gedanken mir ein gebrauchtes Standard zu kaufen für ein 2. Projekt. Beim Axe-FX III oder beim Axe-FX portable Floorboard bin ich aber wahrscheinlich dabei. ;-)

AXE with JMP-1

Don't worry. You can set it up as you want. I do a similar way. My patches give a signal with amsim+fx+powerampsim+cabsim to a monitor and to the PA and at the same time a signal with ampsim+fx goes to a valve poweramp and a V30 cabinet. I see no problem to involve your JMP-1 in such a setup...

Actually a friend of mine uses a Morpheus and we made the battle Morpheus vs. Axe FX. The possibilities in tuning down are same limited. The more you go down the more synthetic it sounds. For me it sounds cool for up to 3 halftones.

Headroom Problem with DB TECHNOLOGIES OPERA M12-4 PLUS

My 12-4 volume is turned up half way. The Output at the Axe is at 12:00 'clock. It is damned loud without any clipping or distortion.

Hope so, too. In my case it was like this: 2 days I was checking all the parameter and sking the guys in this forum here. Then it turned out that I closed volume 2 outputs at the front. :oops:

Even if it sounds silly: Did you check the output volumes: physical knobs at the front (yes, it was me who was so stupid and hadn't have any sound for 2 days...) input settings at the I/O pages. volume control (I think on global pages)

Axe im FX Return

Das ist anschlusstechnisch kein Problem. Allerdings solltest Du dann die Boxensimulation ausschalten und mit der Powerampsimulation etwas herumspielen oder sie ganz ausschalten. Sehr gute Sounds wird Du dennoch bekommen. Ist halt so etwas mehr Aufwand, wenn man es 100% perfekt haben möchte.

Didn't you save your own patches before starting the editor? Did you read the help files of the editor? I didn't at first stage and my Axe-FX was blanked. Then I read the help and I restored my patches.

Yes, they sound different, but still good. I arranged myself in giving my recording sounds to the mixer and my monitor. My trademark ball frying sound is different, but still it pushs me from the stage. ;-)

For those using their axe with 4x12's...

On stage I have a 4x12 + 2x12 without cabsims and additional a monitor with cabsims. Another signal with cabsims goes to the mixer. My balls get fried and I have perfect sound control.

Ich bin zwar Deiner Meinung, aber das bleibt doch subjektiv. Die Möglichkeit IRs ins Axe zu laden, ist genial, aber zum Recorden machen Freeware IR-kompatible Programme mehr Sinn - zumindest im Falle von den Red Wirez IRs.

Thumb on/off changes volume

Since Update 7.16 I noticed following: Setting the THUMB options in the global menue from off to on/ohh no the volume of the sounds is much different. Thumb off = lower volume Thumb on = higher volume I didn't recognized it before. Someone else noticed it? Can it be avoided?
