What are your fav Ownhammer V2 IR's?

I must have missed a memo somewhere...I purchased the V2 kickstarter pack several weeks back...all I have are MA200 files, no SM57 or R121 versions for the cabs mentioned (like the 12M)?

OwnHammer Speaker Cabinets Public Beta (free stuff inside)

I bought the Tier 3 last night (and downloaded them thanks to quick help from Kevin). I switched all my primary patches for my gig tonight to them because I liked them so much. Very open and more detailed is how I would describe it. Maybe a little bit of placebo effect, but I did come back...

OwnHammer Speaker Cabinets Public Beta (free stuff inside)

Just bought Tier 3 myself. I'm very eager to check out the beta files tonight since I have a gig tomorrow. Unfortunately, I didn't get a download link for the beta files...just text that says download limit exceeded? EDIT: Kevin fixed this within a few minutes. Great support - thanks!

Spent some serious money this week. SRX712m & MFC-101 arrived today

After over 2 years with a JBL PRX512M, I'm still a fan. I know others have had success with QSC and others too.

    First gig with V5

My first gig with V5 was last night. I actually saw that 5.01 came out after we had already started tearing down to load up before the gig. Since it mentioned fixes for random lock-ups (I never encountered them), I decided to take the chance and load 5.01 w/o even testing. It worked...

    Mmmmmm, Buttery

I also love this amp sim. In fact, I'm trying to make myself use the JCM800 (for no particular reason, I guess) but I honestly like the Buddha better. I have both tweaked to kinda play in same "space" - my medium gain tone.

Is anyone else as blown away by 4.0 as I am?

Agreed - this firmware is a nice improvement. I liked V3, but with some settings it could be harsh. V4 seems to have really opened it up in a great way. Me likey.

Tried to use II at rehearsal for first time--didn't go well.

Well...Scott doesn't give himself enough credit sometimes. He has the ability to tweak it just right for a good band mix, and many of the rest of us...maybe not so much. :-) Whenever I've downloaded his patches, they just seem to fit well. I don't always *love* them when playing by myself...

The obligatory "fear of change" thread-if i go from 3 to 3.03 will my patches change?

I haven't had to change my patches going to 3.03 - they are just more clear & sound better in general. This is true regardless of whether I touched the amp settings or did the "amp reset" by changing amp types and changing back. The change to 3.0 was significant - I reworked all of my patches...

Axe 2 sound through my Presonus StudioLive board not so good

It is the Presonus SL Remote. Here's a link: PreSonus SL Remote for iPad on the iTunes App Store It is an iPad-only app though, maybe that's why you couldn't find it if searching via your iPhone only.

Axe 2 sound through my Presonus StudioLive board not so good

+1 to several of the tips above. I also use XLR to TRS cables to the Studiolive in order to keep the input trim to a reasonable setting. The StudioLive is a great mixer IMO, I rank it up there as one of the best music purchases I've ever made, maybe #2 to the Axe-Fx. Big Joe Daddy - I didn't...

    This thing is unbelievable

Same here, I upgraded from the Standard a couple of months ago. The proof for me was when I listened back to the first gig where I used it. I was VERY pleased, and I didn't spend as much time tweaking as I had in the past.
  17. benjam

What's your input level set at?

From memory...PRS Singlecut with #6 pickups is set at ~60% to barely tickle the red, PRS ME II with 59/09s is closer to 50%.

Bug: MFC Incorrectly Setting Some IA Switches to Y State

I did a factory reset of my MFC and manually added back my settings and it seems to be working now. The X state (if saved in the preset this way) is the initial state on preset load. The problem must have been related to migrating my older firmware settings to the 1.0+ scheme. Even though I...

Help with the X/Y Learning Curve on AXE II and MFC 101

Bug: MFC Incorrectly Setting Some IA Switches to Y State

Axe-Fx II (2.00c), MFC (1.04). Using Axe-Fx Mode on MFC. I noticed that on some presets, the Y state of a particular effect was being selected when the preset loaded. This occurs ONLY when changing presets with the MFC. I verified that it does not happen when changing presets on the Axe...

My Initially Short Review of the Axe-Fx II

I'll preface this with the fact that I'm not the long review type, but here's a little background. Question for Liquid Foot Owners about AxeFX setup

You can do something with the initial IA states even if they are attached to external modifiers though. You can program the IAs (regardless of what they control) to have an initial state of on or off. For example, I have some external modifiers that are at their "minimum" settings -- I call...

    Running into difficulty organizing presets

I think you can do this in a slighty different way. I am planning to do exactly what you do for my solo tone but have the bypass for...

Yep, I re-did the auto upload after doing what I/Elmer suggested above, and it worked fine. The designated switches are synched and the effect states show correctly. One thing I'm missing somewhere though - I have S1 thru S19 programmed with different effects. I understand that some are...

So close... Liquid-Foot Jr. IA setup?

I believe you are correct, I would have to give up the pretty lights for functionality. What I've found though is that I rarely use effects bypass. I tend to control everything via the INGAIN parameter so I can smoothly turn it on/off. The only way to control this via the LF is an EXTERN...

So close... Liquid-Foot Jr. IA setup?

I'm currently in the same boat, so I don't want to give out any false information. So take this with a grain of salt... I believe you have to set up the Axe CC#s for each effect and then set each IA switch to device sync (AXE-FX) and the particular effect. Following this, do the auto-upload...

    Red Wirez Cab Impulses

Scott, thanks for the great tip on using the stereo room mic despite the "science". It really does add just enough air around the cab to make it sound more real. My method is similar to several of yours. You guys were talking up 7.0 so much I couldn't resist. I didn't tell my band I had done it until afterwards-I did it before a practice once when there was a bug that mapped the global eq to a CC msg - that was ugly. No problems this time.

Sounds pretty good to me, but then again I'm no bass player either. It's difficult for me judge when not in the context of a full mix. The string rattle was a little too prominent, but other than that sounded pretty good and deep to me. BTW, good choice on New Year's Day. -Ben
