    For a more durable finish, you might consider Line-X or similar truck bed liner - they can do a fairly smooth finish as well as textured. Usually can get a good deal if you leave it with them and they can spray it in between bigger jobs.

    I'd post a patch but am currently without a MIDI Interface. As Jens said, it's in the advance clip type, you can try the Germanium in any of the drive models. The FET seemed to work well for a more subtle bit of grit.
