I expected as much. The block really has a $#17load of parameters. Maybe the bare basics would be doable. Like time, feedback, pan, level... Leave the LFO, chorus, modulation, ring mods. etc., for Axe-Edit... It's indeed a hell of a thing to just get your head around how all the params interact...

Midi and FM3

I bought a used ampero control 4. It sends scenes and presets. 4 buttons and press two buttons together to bank up/down. bank 1 scenes 1-4, bank 2 scenes 5-8. No brainer. Which is handy cause I don't have much left... Still don't understand why they chose three buttons on an 8 scene machine...

I know Lincoln used a Plexi model on a Line6 Helix live. He went Fractal for a short while but went back to Line6 IIRC because those were more readily available for fans. Never got close with the Fractal. Guy's got fingers.

Always showing preset as "edited"

My default scene is always scene 1... If I need another default scene I swap them... Or make a new preset... Or change it when I load the preset... All for choices, but KISS for stupid old me means default = 1. If another scene is default i'd get confused. Even more than I am usually.

Can you maybe use Fracpad III via the Airstep? I'm looking for something similar since I also want more buttons. Was thinking of the Yamaha into an Hotone Ampero Control. Don't think either do midi merge, though. I don't think midi through would work with Fracpad.

I know it's the different settings in the channels. Mute in doesn't help, the stuff is already in there and it will even do it when I've been silent for a while. It sort of generates the sound. Pretty cool stuff if it didn't interfere with my playing. Anyway. I'll try all of that.

I just have a couple of cab blocks I always use, saved them in the library. They work with most amps. For me. Rarely I go deeper in search of a "matched" cab, but it's hardly ever an improvement. I find it's an advantage to use a similar cab for most presets. More consistent tone to the House...

Thread resurrection due to this wish having been granted. The lcds can be inverted now. I'm afraid it doesn't help much if any for readability, though. Ik afraid the actual lcds need to be replaced with something better to have any advancement. Slightly disappointed that the line6 has better...

There's more ways to have more switches on one jack than adding a ring. I'm very curious how they did it. Trrs is only available in 3.5mm mini jack or at least very hard to find in 1/8" 6.35mm. My problem is that I like the footprint of the FM3 a lot, the midi IS IN USE by a Yamaha BT midi link...

I think I'll have to retrain myself and set myself and the unit to full on for most situations. Just select the wah using scenes like Leon does in Pedal Applications . Set up one of the switches for level up and down if I need more. Huge thanks for all the input, guys!

Since there are only two exp ports on the FM3 I would like for one expression pedal to both control volume and use it as wah or Whammy or the likes. Problem is that I usually have the volume at 80%, so not full on. And I can't have the volume on full when I want to use wah if it's usually on...
