yes but volume with ideal used to make it about same with sat engaged now it is increased so with ideal and sat the overall volume is louder than without sat

Im really liking the shimmer & fas boost When using the boost in the preamp section of the amp block the default seems to be 12dB Does anyone know how that relates to some typical pedal boosts? For example a ts 808 with level maxed = how many db? Or a Timmy? Or Jam Ray?

Im running the headrush 112 and it sounds very decent. Is it a CLR ? No but its $300, readily available and you can get good tones out of it .Make sure the button on back is set for "flat" Try the $1 York audio v30 and backoff the high cut. If that sounds better to you then maybe you wanna get...

Headrush frfr boomy

Im using a Headrush 112 frfr currentlyand you can get decent tones from it. Low cut is your friend. There is a good youtube video from Leon Todd on the cabinet block for some other tweaks.

Just as a followup this thing sounds great. It is as good as a CLR? I doubt it, but I don't have one right now to compare it with. Tough to beat at $349 which seems to be price now.
