I’m guessing this has the original first issue DSP chips, JRC4558 op amps and orange drop caps throughout. These sound much better than the stuff Fractal is churning out now. I would avoid it though if the firmware isn’t the original version :)

AdmiralB is right. Most cheap inverters create a kind of square wave AC which is OK for some applications but full of nasty harmonics. A true sine wave inverter would minimize this, quite a few on the net to choose from.

Couldn't agree more. In all honesty a huge amount of my Ultra's capabilities remain untouched. Exploring the sonic capabilities just in the amp modelling let alone the effects would take months and months to work through, I barely venture away from a few favorite settings.
