Switching back and forth between steel string and classical nylon guitars

I wanted to buy a Godin classical style guitar but it has a 50.8mm nut width. I think most of my guitars have 41-42mm nut width. I was just wondering if any of you guys have found it to be an issue to go back and forth between classical and "normal" steel string nut width necks.

Guitar wiring question

MFC101 + FCB1010

Could the FRFRs such as the Verve 12ma, Reactors, etc... hold its own in a loud, rock/metal band with another guitarist playing a 4x12 if the gig is such that the amps are not gonna be miced? Will it cut through? Are there specific ones that can?
