    I fixed this problem on Windows and Linux/Wine by simply making sure the AX8 is NOT plugged into the computer until its boot sequence has finished. Then I plug into the computer and can start AX8-Edit or FractalBot 100% of the time with no query timeout.

    It has to re-read all the block data when you have loaded a new firmware. I don't know about Mac but on Windows and Linux it clearly states this is what it is doing.

    I never could get AxeEdit to work properly in Virtualbox. USB seemed to choke up or stall on preset changes. It works wonderfully in Wine though.
