Not sure if anyone has mentioned getting them off the ground which will cut the boominess by quite a bit... I Eq my FRFR's including my HR108 to the room I am playing in and am getting good results...the worst is playing in a cement floor garage...but it can still be tamed well enough to get by.

I have had no issues ...I download the firmware from page 1 of this thread and then open Fratal bot and paste the sys.ex file into fractal bot... I have heard of some issues doing it other ways...hope that helps...

I got the bug for Adam Ax7's from this forum...I was going to travel 100 miles to go pick up a used set off a fellow when he called to say they had just sold locally.... So I did a few weeks of research online and it seemed the consensus pick in that price range was the APS Klasik or the newest...

I take personal responsibility for this thread...it wasn't a bad cable but it was a bad connection combined with some static electricity noise. The input connector on my LP had become slightly corroded and the pickguard / whole top had picked up some static electricity... The cure was a small...

Input on FRFR Speakers

I have the Laney FR112 and the smaller 8" model as well as a Headrush FRFR108 (8") and I use all 3 for the fullest sound but they all sound great...the Laney 12 has more bass response but all of them will keep up with a moderate drummer on there own and drown out a loud drummer used...

If you are using Amp channel A in scene 1 and scene 4 then that is the behaviour...copy amp channel A from scene 1 too another channel (B,C,D) and use that on Scene 4. Late to the party....as usual...

Help! I have no idea how to make a mic work! Axe Fx-III

Input 2 is line level meaning that a mic. will be too low an output to pass much signal....I use a TC helicon Mic Mechanic pedal between my mic and the input 2. I place the input 2 block in parallel with the main string of blocks and patch in before the looper block but after everything else...

Mini LCD wish - bigger text or bold

All good tips...I am doing all that plus I just have the FC-6 and I put things in the same spots as much as possible from patch to patch...if I had the FC-12 it would much more difficult to remember where things are. Still hoping for an option to reduce the amount of letters for larger, bolder...

Laney LFR-112

The Laney LFR112 has a larger more Cab like sound than there 8" model or the HR 8"...I have really been digging the combo of my Laney 8 and HR 8 running in stereo with the Laney 12 in the middle under my Axe and filling out the sound to whatever level I want. These are all great sounding options...

The DC-30 sounds great but in there is nothing on the authentic page in Axe edit and on the ideal page the bass, mid and treble controls don't do anything, only the extra high freq control and the high cut seem to work...?

Suggestions for FRFR and power amp for the Axe-Fx III that are available in EU?

I am digging my Laney FRFR's and the Headrush is great as well...I use the Laney 8" and the Headrush 8" in stereo with the Laney 12" in middle summed...the Laney LFR12 would be my choice if I had just one FRFR it fills out the sound better than the 8's

I have loaded factory backs A.B and C to what used to be B, C and D banks so that I can use Bank A as my own presets...can I load Bank A into what used to be Bank B (it's now Bank A as mentioned) with Fractol Bot and Bank B into what used to b C, etc.? Or will it just overwrite all my presets on...

Contrary to what you are hearing from others....I hear things the same way you do... My Turbosound IQ10's and IQ12's have a few different built in speaker sims...the Meyer Cab emulation is the flattest of them but none are "Flat" FRFR...they all color the sound before you even start EQ'ing...

I have the Headrush FRFR-108 and while it is small it does indeed pump out the bass...I have never noticed that the highs were not pumped out in equal fashion ...if anything it is just the mids that need some push ...but I have never had to use extreme EQ curves for a pleasing stage sound. One...

Muffled Tones

One other note....In a recent shootout between 5 FRFR's I noticed that the Friedman sounded darker...you could almost call it "muffled". So maybe you are starting with a darker tone and low output PUPs (+4 is too hot for my system)? Anyway it sounds like you are on your way!

I don't need to push my HR to get feel either, but the more you push it the closer it sounds to an amp in my opinion and I don't think studio monitors can do that. Also like Chris said it is perception by the perceiver...so in my mind it's... whatever is true for you applies.

Tone versus Feel. The real amp in the room.

I think you have to move some air to get the "amp in the room" effect...so I doubt it is possible with studio monitors. I am finding that with a couple of FRFR's (Laney IRT-X and a Headrush 108) I can move enough air to sound and feel much like my Archon 25 tube amp ...and all three in a...

How many playing on Headrush 108’s?

The same company makes a pedalboard that runs on IR's ...so... I have had a full day with the HR FRFR108 now and I can say that it sounds less like a PA speaker (playing guitar through it) than my Turbosound IQ10 speaker does...the 108 gives more an amp in the room feeling at higher...

First impressions tell me you won't be disappointed! I had it on the floor at first and it has more bass than it should in that position but that is to be expected given the power doubling effect of that position on the low end, but nothing I can't handle with some minor tweaks but I will use...

I have one arriving today...I will be running it in a modified W/D/W setup with a similar sized Laney FRFR and a PRS Archon....so 2 FRFR's under 20 Lbs. and a 25 Lb. Tube amp...I am using one of my Turbosound IQ10 speakers in place of the Headrush now and it sounds glorious! The Headrush should...

I am one of them and I am still using 5.03 even though in trying to adjust the FC-6 screen brightness I lost the main display....so I am using it a bit blind as to what patch I am on but it is working flawlessly otherwise. I suspect in coding something ...they messed up something...

I must of got a "lucky one" then....I only have one humbuster cable so the other output cable is just a 2' standard 1/4 inch and there is definitely some noise but it is only noticeable at very low volumes and doesn't increase as I up the volume. Maybe they have fixed that issue...

Hey Captain....I tried this setup and have my pre amp effects going to my Archon 25 tube amp just fine but I can't figure out how to get any effects to work in the effect loop....any chance you could post a preset that uses both pre and post effects headed to the tube amp? That might get me...
