    My honest review

The Kemper sounds great but I highly dislike the clunky interface and lack of a color screen. Even cheaper units like Headrush and Line 6 have color screens. So Axe FX IIII is the winner in that area plus better pedal type effects.

My thoughts on the Axe-Fx III

For me, having an all in one box that is light and portable at home studio and on the road that has lots of amp tones and profiles is where I am headed. I already have a heavy tube amp but want less footprint. So it comes down to the Kemper or the Axe FX III. I am waiting for the Axe FX III foot...

    First gig for Axe-Fx III

Yeah I did read parts of it but since I don't own one yet probably need to find a way to get my hands on one well at least the last version FX 2 anyhow to see how it compares to my Kemper experience which I found to be the most obtuse piece of guitar FX hardware ever. Hopefully the Fractal has a...

    First gig for Axe-Fx III

Can you hook in the Fractal FX easy to a PA system? I love the light portable size and no back crushing weight of hauling heavier tube amps and cabs around to gigs.

    My honest review

I can only afford one high end amp modeler- either the Kemper or the Fractal Axe FX III. I like the new color interface better on the Fractal Axe FX III but the pedal board controller is not out yet (wait list) and not sure which is better for classic rock, thrash metal, punk and modern metal.

Why I am a Big Fan of Fractal Audio ...

Well if Metallica can tour with older versions of Fractal Axe gear than I am sure the new version is just fine!

Why I am a Big Fan of Fractal Audio ...

Totally agree, I started learning guitar a little over a year ago and we new guitar players have millions of options in different price points as well as lots of free online tutorial lessons and tabs for songs. It makes learning easier than ever and more fun too! I had a few private teachers but...

My thoughts on the Axe-Fx III

Yeah I know tons of guitarists and teachers who frown on the amp profilers and modelers but so what? If Fractal Axe is good enough for rock stars like James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett of Metallica well good enough for me! These guys are super awesome and have millions of dollars to buy any gear...

My thoughts on the Axe-Fx III

For me the ability to turn a knob and switch from a Diezel to a Bogner Ecstasy and to a Mesa Boogie amp would be awesome. Just a Diezel VH4 amp costs almost 4k.

My thoughts on the Axe-Fx III

Nice, I have a few amps and want to consolidate and save on space and have something that is good for recording and practice as well as studio type work. How difficult of a learning curve is the Fractal Axe fx III to learn? I have plenty of pedals and amps and software so I can handle learning...

Very cool love the Hulk! So how does it sound compared to a real tube amp?

    The Axe III is awesome!

I have been wanting to get some hands on time on a Fractal Axe FXIII but alas no stores carry them and they appear to be sold only direct from Fractal. I did try a Kemper but hated the convoluted user interface. How does the new FX compare to the Kemper?
