Just curious, check out how the Brit 800 sounds in this demo and tell me what you think. The demo you keep referencing is pretty bright sounding and I think this demo sounds more similar to the tone you're getting. In fact almost every video I can find of someone showing off the stock presets...

Yeah, I wish it was that easy lol. But honestly, I think you'll probably get closer to the tone you want if you just create the patch yourself. Pull up an amp, and just go through the IR's until you land on one that sound decent and go from there.

Yeah, honestly I wouldn't worry about how the stock presets sound at all. There's too many variables to consider as to why you're not sounding exactly like the one specific video you posted. Have you tried creating your own patches though? I think people usually have better luck just starting...

How many different IR's have you tried? Sometimes if I just cant get the tone I want no matter how much I tweak the amp, it's usually because I'm using the wrong IR.

Favorite cab IR and settings to use with the 6160/5150?

It might seem basic, but I think V30s paired with Creambacks are an amazing combo for this amp. ML Soundlab has a Zilla cab pack with these speakers and I use it for nearly all my high gain tones now. As far as factory cabs, I'm getting really nice tones using the "Citrus" cabs, so dont sleep...

Axe FX III mkII - will my mk1 get left behind with firmware updates? Answer - clearly not. Thread edited due to excessive negativity from one person.

Latency Pitch block

You can try reducing the tracking. It does sacrifice some quality though.

Pitch Block: tuning down from 1/2 step to 2.5 steps

Depending on the tone I'm using, I've been able to tune down 3 to 5 steps without much problem on clean tones, and maybe 2-3 steps max on high gain tones. That's with the tracking on 10. If the latency is too much, back it off to around 5 or 6.

(ML Sound Lab) Ultimate 4x12 Shootout: Which cab is your favorite?

I've been getting some super expensive sounding tones from mixing the Zilla and Freeman cabs. I really cant overstate how versatile these two packs are... One question that's been on my mind though; is the Zilla cab that you grabbed the impulse from actually that teal color?

Zilla 4x12 Cab Pack with V30s and Creambacks [ML Sound Lab]

I've been using the 2x12 Zilla's for almost everything I play, so I knew I had to grab this pack. And holy crap I'm glad I did because these IRs have quickly become my new default. Thank you for these quality IRs, I'm looking forward to what else you have in store.

Is this normal?

Completely normal. I believe it was added a few firmwares ago to help diagnose some bugs. I kinda like seeing the text at startup though, so I'm hoping it doesn't go away...

Implemented Up/down arrows for cab selection

You can already use your up/down arrow keys to scroll through cabs. When you're in the cab block click the '#' symbol to the left of the cab number to make sure its selected and scroll away.
