FM3 cannot connect to Mac after Cygnus update

Latest Update: Have been asked to return the unit for repair. Despite being disappointed to have had this happen, I would like to state that Andrew from Independent Music, the Fractal suppliers in Australia, is amazing. He is so organised, efficient and on the ball. From my previous dealings...

FM3 cannot connect to Mac after Cygnus update

The Mac Book Pro is 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 (8 GB RAM - 2017 model). The Desktop is a Mac Pro 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon (16 GB Ram) and has PCIe cards for the system and data; plus 3xSSD internal drives. Both computers are on Mojave (Mac OS 10.14.6) and are not linked. The FM3 has worked...

FM3 cannot connect to Mac after Cygnus update

Definitely not cable or usb hub. Have re-booted computer and FM3 many times.

FM3 cannot connect to Mac after Cygnus update

Did all the above. The emergency boot-loader does not work because I cannot get Fractal Bot to recognise that the FM3 is there.

FM3 cannot connect to Mac after Cygnus update

Yes the USB ports work fine and recognise other devices. How do I roll back if I cannot connect to the computer? Is there a way to do that on the unit itself?

FM3 cannot connect to Mac after Cygnus update

Hi Everyone, I upgraded to Cygnus last night (using a Mac) and bulk reset all the amps in every preset. Everything worked fine. Saved everything with Fractal Bot after reseting the amps. This morning when I booted up the FM3 it would not boot up. Blank screen. So I turned it off and...

Importing Raw Wave-formats with Cab-Manager to Axe-Fx III

I just did the same thing with the 3 Sigma acoustic Gibs 45 IR on my FM3. The 96KHz IR sounded better to my ears. Whatever the FM Edit does in converting to 48KHz seems to be doing a better job than directly importing the purchased 48 KHz IR.

Tone suck and cables - a cautionary tale

Yes all connected correctly. Will swap humbuster cables at the next gig and try again. They are all brand new cables .. but I guess you never know.

Tone suck and cables - a cautionary tale

As a freelance/session musician I play in all styles (musical theatre, Country, Jazz , Fusion, Rock, etc) and use lots of different gear - so my cleans have to be super clean and I need to have minimal noise levels. I feel that the FX8 Mark II does contour the sound and adds a sheen to your...

Tone suck and cables - a cautionary tale

Yes I had the same tone suck issue as Origin8tor in both the 4CM and the 2 CM. I replaced the humbuster cable with a normal guitar cable from the pre-out to the amp and it fixed the issue. Plus the noise levels reduced as well.
