not exactly, but yes. I have the ability to select those channels, but the sample rate is not selectable; instead, it says "maximum of 48k". No buffer options. but I can choose bit depth 16 or 24.

where do you set your clock source? is this in the audio interface software (that i don't have)? or is it within the AFX? or DAW? the only thing I see about "clock" is in the AFX, and neither option is working.

So I should be getting sound without Logic running - correct? I'm not. i only have the spdif cables connected to the rear panel of the axe fx. So it's AFX to FTP with two spdif cables, then my monitors are connected to the FTP. Signal is showing on the front panel of the AFX if the main input...

I have tried it on analog (in 1). A signal shows on the front panel of the AFX when I do this (unlike when it is set to "spdif/aes"), but the signal is not registering in my DAW.

I would assume one powered monitor would not be loud enough to cut through when jammin I agree. The smart thing to do would be to actually try out an FRFR system before pulling the trigger on going that route. My friend has a Yorkville 1000W PA. Not sure if it is any good for this application...

[Solved] sound quality decreases when monitoring through DAW. Normal?

Update: I found the issue. I changed the usb out source to output 1, got rid of the fx loop in the chain, changed all applicable outputs to L+R Sum (some were in stereo). Then in my daw, I record in mono and, simply, just click the "off" button on the track rather than auto or channel 1. doh...

I've had the axe fx ii for a couple weeks. I'm able to create great sounding patches, but when I am tracking in my daw (ableton live 8) the sound quality noticeably decreases as opposed to jamming straight out of the axe fx. In the daw it sounds tinny, digital, hollow... etc. I'm using the axe...
