AFIII Kyle Barton Project - On the Rocks - Suhrs and Ricks through the Ax3

Hi all, here's my latest effort all recorded with the Ax3, including the Bass. This was a VERY fun project for me. I had written the song and actually recorded it before the idea for the video took hold. After we storyboarded out the story's plot, i knew the guitars would all need to be...

AFIII Kyle Barton Project - Clown Car - moke's Eruption patch

nice! yes. this song swerves all over the road style-wise, which is why my buddy suggested I call it Clown Car. it just seemed to fit. I haven't gigged in a very long time, and just decided to start putting music out. Will have a new song out every three weeks through December.

AFIII Kyle Barton Project - Clown Car - moke's Eruption patch

Hi guys, here's a new song from my solo guitar project coming out in December. this is a TryAxis for most rhythm tracks and Moke's eruption patch for the solo. that's about as close to a VH solo as I can muster. hope you like it

    Wish Preset Swap

+1 ..and i'm the OP :) i love the AX3 so much, and the constant improvements in sound are truly unbelievable, but that little SWAP feature on the AX2 is still sorely missed by me, and it looks like several others^ is it just impossible? due to technical constraints or whatever? would like...

AFIII My new song "Not Fast, but Furious"

I find this really inspiring. Have been watching your posts here for several years, and love how much more comfortable you are getting with the performance, etc. Super nice work!

AFIII Journey - "Escape" cover using the Ax3

Hi all, I'm a long time lurker here, and Fractal user since the Ax2 days Here's a little cover a few friends and i put together to cope during the lockdown. We obviously had a lot of fun making this. This is was recorded 100% with Moke's Journey-Escape v2 patch, which gave us the idea to...

FC-12 vs. RJM MMGT series (functionality comparisons)

I just did the same thing. Been sorting out the gt22 for a week or so now. has been a big learning curve for me. Am sure the tight integration of the FCx will be a big selling point eventually. I resisted for months, because I didn't want to pay that much, but the big scribble strips are...

AFIII NGD Widdling - YJM Strat

amazing playing as always ! I've been trying to learn that style for the past 30 years:) you've got it nailed. Took me a sec to find this, so posting it for the next guy who tries to find the backing track you used. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=%23ClarkeOnGuitar

using IR players to mimic a different guitar or pickup?

From the Beta 1.15 thread.... im fuzzy on what this means. does this mean that you can use an IR player to convert from your source guitar to a different source guitar tone, before any other processing? example: using a les paul, to mimic the single coil in a tele or whatnot. if so, that's...

    Scenes

I very happily used my AxFx2 without ever once setting up a scene or the X/Y state of an effect. I just treated each sound as a preset. This was something I had been doing with midi for 20 years, and I was just more-or-less hardwired to think of presets this way. I used CCs to toggle on...

AxeFx in acoustic treated bedroom vs. non-treated bedroom?

for a normal size bedroom, your main problem with hearing an accurate representation of what is coming out of your speakers is going to be bass cancellation. bass can only be truly controlled with 1) mass or 2) an open window :) to make a noticeable improvement in that type of room, your...

    [Planned] Support for Set Lists?

The Steps thing would be very intuitive. this is the same functionality that my Korg Kronos has. you set the song up once, and then you just click a single button to work through the song. no more remembering if the solo is on scene 3 or 4 or whatnot. just keep it super simple for...

Why do I need both Axe-Fx III & Axe-Fx II?

I've had the 2 for a 5 or 6 years. then I bought a 3, so I mailed my 2 to the apartment where I work. now I have a frac at each place. I just wish they were both 3s. alas.

Why do I need both Axe-Fx III & Axe-Fx II?

I work out of town every other week, so I've mailed my II to the work apartment. best backup/practice amp ever? why yes, yes it is. the madness comes when I actually contemplate eventually upgrading the II at the apartment to a III.

WANTED: Michael Landau - Tales from the Bulge preset

So who has the definitive Tales from the Bulge preset built for the Ax3? Now that we have Tri-Chorus, it should be getting more and more possible/credible. Mine isn't too great yet, still learning. Any of you tone-matching experts have one handy?

Emulating a tone - step by step

I'm currently at the pick-a-preset and play level regarding my Fractal knowledge. I do pretty well with getting what I want from the effects, because I've owned a million over the years. its natural to add some vibe or delay or EQ to a sound. What's not second nature for me is how to dial...

    Selling the amps?

I agree with that concept too. I have a little AER acoustic amp for the house I would never ever sell. come to think of it, the AER would be a great amp to add as a model in the Frac :)

    Selling the amps?

ha, thanks for all the feedback :) I love this forum. Well instead of just having a garage sale of pricey amps, I'm going to attempt to build 4-8 presets which emulate that old rig, and see how close I can get to it. I've always been kind of a set-and-forget guy. never been much of a...

    Selling the amps?

so last year sometime, I took the time to build a big "amp tower" for my 4 hundred watt heads. I racked up all my usual pedals and wired up a quick and easy patch bay, along with some torpedo cab simulation, and my fract2 (for stereo effects) to put together the mother-of-all recording...

Presets MASTER THREAD - AustinBuddy's 1400+ NAKED AMPS TonePack for firmware Cygnus X2

Just a quick note from a new happy customer... I've been a long-time Fractal user, but have always been overwhelmed with the number of choices/combinations available, so more-or-less have just stuck to a few core tones without experimenting or exploring a lot. while this amp pack covers all the...

Wish Splitting Looper into 2 discrete loops + fade to avoid abrupt start

the boomerang functionality of master loop (to set overall timing) and then at least 2 other loops which sync to multiples of the master loop duration would be amazing. that is very useful. lets you record separate sections (version/chorus) and then switch between them all while playing...

    Wish Preset Swap

just getting into the Ax3 now. cant find a way to "swap" presets, like was available on the Ax2. would let you basically re-order the presets without losing any. Used that to manage sets mostly, and was a very useful feature for me. cant find it in the Ax3 (or manual) though.

Axe-Fx II vs Axe-Fx III (video comparison)

great demonstration. marked improvement in the III especially for the less gained-up sounds. just sounds more dynamic and natural. really looking forward to getting one.
