Very happy with the change in feel for the Citrus RV50. It's a similar change for many amps, but maybe something extra on the RV50? Unsure, but it seems to feel closer to a real rockerverb now. Very satisfying to play through.

FM3 sits on my desk, a bit like pod xt used to. In that regard, having the usb interface work like on the III -- in turns of the latency reporting -- would be useful for me, especially considering limited desk space.

While I believe NAM can be very accurate, usually I've been able to get close with fractal sims by lowering the master vol considerably. There's always some difference, but to the point where it's easy to fail blind tests, at least for me.

Can't find a good high gain tone

This may not help, but how high is your master vol in the amp sims you're using? I'd lower that considerably and test. In my experience, many Kemper profiles are made with the (amp) master vol fairly low. That tends to affect how mutes feel.

Also, for the OP: the Fishman output signal may be much higher than your passive PU. I don't know, and I haven't compared these. But it's it's possible your amp or amp sim has to be adjusted accordingly, and by that point the perceived noise levels are more comparable/Fishman performs better.

All "ergonomics, quality and sound" can have aesthetic dimensions. These aren't always obvious, but are often part of the game imo. But sure. I do not disagree with you that you can make empirical observations about guitars, amps, etc etc. And some people will be more proficient at this than...

Would "great" be about many others making positive aesthetic judgements of a given thing? Or would you say this isn't about what people's aesthetic judgements of the thing generally are, but about you thinking certain characteristics (whatever they may be) should evoke a "positive" aesthetic...

At least in terms of making an aesthetic judgement, yes, I'm sure some won't like the dumble even if plugged straight in with an amazing guitar.

So here's a song I like. The original is way more laid back. This is my take on it. Well, my guitars, but it does make a difference, much heavier. Love the Cygnus X-2 JCM. Just splendid. And yes, I need cable management. I'll give that a thought or two. It's gotten tragic at this point...
