    FM9 with Backline?

I fly frequently and request a Hot Rod Deville or Deluxe for backline because they are almost always easily available anywhere you go. I send a direct signal with cab modeling to FOH from the FM9, then a cab-less signal to the amp's Power Amp In for stage monitoring only. I EQ that output to cut...

Sun shield for the FM9, suggestions?

I have a couple of these Maloney Stage Gear covers - not useful during the gig, but for dust and sun protection while gear sits baking between soundcheck and downbeat: https://www.amazon.com/stores/MaloneyStageGearCovers/page/9E06BF36-BD7A-4FFC-8B34-A1C5E11188E4?ref_=ast_bln They are "water...

Sun shield for the FM9, suggestions?

Two solutions for me - usually this is only a problem during afternoon soundchecks so heat is my concern rather than seeing the display. I also just picked up a cool umbrella with a clamp that I can attach to a mic or keyboard stand that I can stand under so I don't fry and/or die of heat...

    Mute seperate outputs

Check your tuner options - I think when you select which input it listens to (All, 1, 2, or 3), and what it mutes, it only affects that input and leaves the others open. Try it and see.

What is that one piece of gear you wish you never sold?

1984 Rickenbacker 4001. I begged and begged my parents to buy me this used one that came into the local shop to be my HS graduation gift (class of 87). They did, but I still had to pay for half! I was about to go off to Berklee with nothing but a crappy "Elk" Jazz bass knockoff for crissakes...

    Flying with the FM-9

I use a Pelican Air 1535 which is carry-on size for most overhead bins. It doesn't leave much room around the sides for padding though, but since I carry it myself I don't worry about it. I added some neoprene foam around the inside. If I were checking it I'd want something a little bigger. You...

    FM3 As Pedalboard with Backline

I've played plenty of festivals with provided backline and 10 minute changeovers between bands. Every guitar player just has to plug in to the amp that's there (usually a Marshall of some kind or maybe Fender Twin), turn a few knobs and away we go. Bass players get an SVT and 8x10 with a...

    [wish] OUT3 line level support

True, and for me it's really not a big deal to simply add the level in the Out 3 block as I've been doing. [wish] OUT3 line level support

Yes, I use Out 2 for my acoustic presets to FOH. Out 1 is for the electric to FOH. This way I have independent level controls if necessary. Out 3 is for a "no cab sim" to the power amp on stage.

    [wish] OUT3 line level support

+1 on this, same reason. I need a nice hot level to my power amp/cab. On FM3 I was also adding the 20db in the Out 2 block until they added the Line Level option.
