Since the engineer responsible for AX8's current firmwares no longer works there, I'd dare to suggest this: I think FAS should just re-write the AX8 to welcome ARES firmware and make it consistent to their current products. Would that even be possible?

Thank you. I'm reading that other users tend to disabile speaker drive and speaker compression parameters in the amp block when using solid state power amp like my powerstage 170. Does this make sense?

Yes I have. But I'm not sure what applies to solid state power amps, which is my case, and what to tube power amps. I know that with tube power amps we are supposed to turn Sag to zero or disable the amp sim but if I understand it well that is not supposed to be needed with my solid state power...

Hi @2112 , i recently saw this video and i've tried to replicate this trick to fine tune my rig( Ax8 --> Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170 --> marshall 1912 cab). Problem is that I was not able to make the synth block generate any signals. Any suggestions regarding what i'm doing wrong? + Thank you!

I think might really do the job! Still I'd prefer to control this fx with some more flexibility, this way it will work on a tempo basis which is not ideal. But great tip mate, I'll give it a try!

Yes, that would probably the best way to achieve what i want. I used to do that with a boss FS6 but i'm aiming to achive this with the AX8 without external pedals (no room in my pedalboard not even for an FS5)... Thank you for chiming in. :-)
