In the Spirit of NAMM Anouncements (FAS reactive load box)

Can you tell me where you found out information about the difference between the LB-1 and LB-2 or that there would be 2 different models? I assumed that the prototype was called the Nucleus (LB-2), but refined and then a simple name change into the production model X-Load. I wasn't aware there...

Michael Nielsen is a baller and made an excellent video comparison a couple of days ago of the Two Notes, UA, Suhr, and Fryette load boxes plus the Kemper. Honestly, they all hold up and sound good. Definitely some differences between the units though. Can't wait for the X-Load to drop! .

Naw, man. You were correct. I emailed Fractal back in December to ask what the ballpark price point would be, and they confirmed that it would be closest to their competitor product--Suhr RL--, so somewhere around the $400 mark.

Update? Something, anything. Just want to know how long the wait is going to be.

Nicolasrivera, you beautiful summabitch! Keeping up to date. Shame it's not a load box : /.

Nice to see a demo that's from someone other than a UA employee. Still, I'm most interested in more of an A/B review that compares how accurately the main function of the ox--the load box--performs, where they have the amp plugged into a cab and then just the load box back to back. Then...

Everywhere I look these aren't shipping yet, even UA's website says "Coming Winter". Did you get your hands on one? As of yet, all of the information, videos, and reviews are more product demo-ish type things conducted by UA. I'd like to get a third party, unbiased opinion!

Yeah unfortunately I can't say for certain about the OX as far a side by side comparison, I don't think there is one yet. I'm really just talking about the Two Notes stuff (Torpedo Live and Studio) as a reference. UA is touting the OX as the best load box ever made. I have the Apollo and many of...

It's just a load box, no other frills. The Torpedo or OX will get you into the IR loading/storing feature set, but they don't sound as good or true to the amp as things like the Suhr RL. Fractal told me they were doing a stripped down load box similar to the Suhr that way they could put in the...

I was going to buy the Suhr, but I'm definitely holding out until your load box drops! While waiting though, I was wondering if you might be able to tide us over with a bit of information about the box, specifically if you could describe how the Fractal load box differs from the Suhr Reactive...

I too would like to know. The Suhr is currently the best sounding load box on the market, in what ways is the Fractal superior?

    Friedman Naked / APC Tones

Potentially! I wish I could just do it myself, but damn I'm just having a hard time pulling the trigger on an AXE FX (difficult to come up with a reason why it's something I NEED and explain that to my wife while we're in the process of buying a home). I do need to send the amp down to Dave...

I was told by the sales team today that 1. It should hit the market and be available for sale in December and 2. Price point should be closest to the Suhr Reactive Load.

Ah...that I'm pretty sure is a no, at least for gain tones. Even in the most minimal instrumental passages there aren't any that come to mind where it is literally ONLY guitar besides the clean intro to Orestes and The Outsider, or the bridge in Thomas. You can download the MOGG files for a few...

That's awesome! Good on you for taking the helm. I was just watching that video on Youtube and I couldn't tell exactly what was going on in the workstation with the switching back and forth, but it looked like he has the APC Mogg files that he's using to replicate the tone. Certainly the best...

Yes, I saw that too. My intel is several years old now. I talked to Tom Anderson directly about BH's pickup set and he said... "he changed the pickups form what he was originally using to HO1- and H2+." To which I asked when BH made the change, and he said "it's been several years ago that he...

If that day does come, I certainly will! Honestly though I'm super happy with it, not very likely that I would. Even though Dave no longer makes the production model, you might be able to get him to give your amp his APC mod or possibly have him build you your own one off Naked if he can find...

Hey guys. I'm a noob here on the forums, I don't even have an AXE FX (yet). However, what I do have... ...is the Friedman Naked amp. Currently I'm still saving up for an AXE FX, but when that day doth come, I will absolutely profile it and upload it. I'm working on selling off my speaker cab...
