WISH: Alternative to global blocks

I came here because I received FM9 few weeks ago, coming from Axe-Fx II and just learned that there are no global blocks feature. Is there a proper reason for this crucial omission, or is it just because the product is new and the firmware is still under development?

Yeah, I have Axe-Edit running. I'll try without it, although shutting it down an launching again always when I want to tweak the sound will be really inconvenient. Edit: Nope, didn't help.

I'm recording through USB straight to MacBook Pro and Logic Pro X, using the Axe-Fx as an interface also. After 2-5 minutes the connection drops and suddenly there is about one second of latency when playing. Booting the Axe-Fx does nothing, however booting Logic solves the problem. Just before...

Thanks for the suggestion, but this is like treating the symptoms of a problem instead of solving the problem in itself. I think there has to be a remedy for this within the settings of the amp block itself (or something), instead of using other effects blocks to tackle the problem.

I borrowed an ES-8 from a friend and in case someone is thinking of controlling Axe-Fx scenes with ES-8 the short answer is no. Long answer, to some extent yes and with a possible future firmware upgrade yes, but here's the frustrating deal. ES-8 has all the functions to control Axe scenes, but...

Quick question: IA to mute OUT 1 only?

Aah, ok thanks. I'll check the Out to Echo = 1 setting. The first thing I tried was using the tuner w. mute, but it silenced the output 2 also, so I didn't get signal to my tuner.

Doesn't this method need a CC value to be sent? How does the Axe-Fx know to mute Out 1 if the controller only sends a CC number?

Quick question: IA to mute OUT 1 only?

Since I don't have the MFC yet, I'd like to use Out 2 as a tuner out. Is there a way I could mute Out 2 with IA with CC command? I only found command for volume, but my Midi Mate can't send CC values, only the CC number.

Midi Mate phantom power

Thanks. That's what I was thinking, the Midi Mate power supply is twice as powerful as the Axe II can according to manual handle.

Midi Mate phantom power

I've read that people are phantom powering the Midi Mate through Axe-Fx. However the Axe-Fx manual states not to plug in a power adapter with higher than 1A rating and the Midi Mate adapter states "Output:9V~2000mA". Doesn't that mean that the adapter is more powerful than the Axe can handle...

My sounds have pretty much the same amount of gain I use with any real amp and I haven't touched any deep parameters. Other than that I don't know what it means to run the Axe-Fx with less compression? Checked, the input impedance is set to auto.
