Still loving my AX8!!!

After 6 years, still love this piece of gear. I was on the list for the FM9 and got my invite in October but wasn't in a place to take advantage of it. Of course guitar tones are subjective but this was from a show I did in Dallas, TX tonight and I have say, the AX8 STILL ROCKS!!!

Help with external footswitch

https://www.westminstereffects.com/product/handyman/ It doesn't specifically list it working with the AX8 but it works just fine. I've been using them for about a year and a half without any issues.

AX8 Gig Advice?

If not already, learn how to do some basic editing from the front panel. Things like solo boosts or even scene levels may respond different once you are in the middle of a gig. The VU meters are a great starting point for getting close but you may find that once everyone is playing for real that...

FET Boost Drive Block Settings for the EP Booster

Just purchased AX8, will I ever play my tube amp again???

I haven't tried that due to the reasons I got the AX8 in the first place. That's mostly because I know I would convince myself that it was .0001% better and use that as a reason to end up with even more gear out at a gig. Speaking of ease of setup, I did a travel date a couple of weeks ago so...

I can completely relate to this post. When I first got my AX8 the plan was to use it on gigs where I knew volume would be an issue or if it was a travel date to cut down on gear to make travel easier. After about 2 weeks I was wondering if I'd ever unpack my amps from their cases ever again...

Here's mine. Fits in a 28x14 case. Powercon connector connected to a strip under the board. Strip has usb charging connector so I can charge the Shure wireless battery, phone, etc.

Anyone want TWO free Blackback IRs?

The 57 BL IR is fantastic. This works so good with the Marshall type amps I've tried it with so far. Sounds really good paired with the 59 Baseman model as well. Thanks for sharing these.

So I just got the case I ordered from Menards. AX8 and laptop fit perfectly. Case looks very sturdy and a lot of extra storage.

Carrying case?

Just ordered one of these and will hopefully have it next week. Looks great for a grab and go. I'm building a new pedalboard for my AX8 but I have a couple of gigs I do that I only need the AX8 for and nothing else so I need something I can carry it in and not take the whole pedalboard / case / etc.

Amps vs cabs

I'm about a month into have an AX8 and I've been amazed at how much the cab block affects the overall sound. So far it seems that if I land on the right IR it's way less tweaking on the amp block. My experience has been very similar to what Hbucker said, if I get the right cab and get that set...
