Anyone compare that new 2290 pedal to our 2290 delay?

You could try the 2290 plugin for free (for the trial period) and compare them. Because I'm convinced that the pedal isn't too far from the plugin. If it wasn't the same algorithm I'd be surprised. It's a beautiful pedal though, admittedly, and well implemented. For me, I use Fractal's 2290 and...

True Class A Amplifiers

Me too. I've had pretty much every version except the 50 watt. Mainly due to what someone alluded to above...cost of tubes and upkeep alone!!! The 20w was my favourite and the 5w was a cool little thing to have around! I'd love any of them in the Fractal, tbh!

Laney Lionheart L50H with its 5x EL34 power tubes is probably the king of Pure Single ended Class A amplifiers, IMO. Let's get one in the Fractal library! :)

I think there's an option next to the buy now button on the apple website - logic x page. I agree with this, it's working brilliantly for me so far. I think I'm definitely going to make the switch after my trial...gives me three months to save as it's such a long trial period! Bonus!

Probably best to install the Intel version for now as the M1 version doesn't prompt you to permit microphone access, the Intel one does upon first start up. Incidentally, I've decided to give the Logic free trial a go and it's by far my user friendly than Reaper is, IMO. I may switch permanently!

Just got a Mac Mini with M1 chip and Reaper isn't recognising any signal from either of my interfaces (RME & Axe III). I tried the RME into Garage Band and managed to get it to record, but no luck with the Axe FX (using USB - not tried anything else). Was working with my PC and Reaper last week...

About to bite the bullet, but as it'll be my sole machine, I need the usual Fractal programs to work with the new M1 chip (it's not an Intel machine) in the new 2020 Mac Mini. Rosetta 2 is the bridge for old apps on the new Mac mini, but would be good to know if it's been tested by anyone here...

Perhaps 'shame' is the wrong word. I agree that the reverbs are fantastic. Adding convolution support would be groundbreaking in this field of modelling. And it wouldn't be a bad idea is what I'm getting at.

Maybe so, but needlessly so IMO. The example below shows that there's absolutley no real need to move the tuner. At least to my knowledge anyway. I'm no expert, but am a UI designer and can't help but feel slightly frustrated about this... Fractal make some amazing things, but UI decisions...

Wow, so the side-chained gate really helped and pre and post PEQ blocks are really tightening things up for me, some of the best sounds I've had for a long time. Thanks @Desmo808 for explaining.

What does tie the cutoff to envelope mean? Please :-) How do I side chain to the input of the amp? And what is side chain, is it just running it parallel? Sorry, these are dumb questions but this is something I’d like to learn about. Thanks
