Me too :) I really like the YouTube one with Larry Mitchel A/B testing. Ambiance was nice and pro at the same time and it was a pleasure to listen to Larry’s Knaggs ;) And plus furtive Cliff apparition. Some tutorials would be nice too, as the new included editor (you know I like editors ;)...

So axe FX is made with LEGO’s bricks. That’s why it’s called a Fractal. Small racks shapes turning into a big rack unit. I cracked the code. Call me vice-Cliff now ;)

When I called beta testers I was thinking about Cooper, Mark Day and Larry Mitchel. Those guys seem to “just had” it in exclusivity 2 months before us and acting more like public beta testers than real protocolised Fractal teams... To me this appear more like iOS 11 public beta testers ;) But...

Cliff? An Audio interface?

Sorry but when Cliff just started Fractal audio, multi effects for guitars market was saturated and very conservative. But he proved that with a huge quality level people just get in. I’m pretty sure that every guitarist who trust Fractal would be happy to switch to a Fractal Audio Interface...

Could be nice to have a FAS Audio interface with secret sauce and super top notch components. An interface that would perfectly fit Ax8 users and could maybe used as a dongle for FAS plugins. I can assume it would be a HUGE success. And a mobile version too. Not that much work for Fractal as...

Famous Fractal users AND FOR WHAT

Hi, just took a look at some K####R forum and a K fan said that famous artists use Kemper for it’s amp (modeling) capabilities and not for effects as they suck, but that Vai and many famous guitarist USE FRACTAL STUFF ONLY FOR EFFECTS AND NEVER FOR AMP/CAB SIM... I tryed to get some rig...

interim solution (before Axe3)

not sure Ax8 Mk 2 or whatever will come soon. Fractal will have a lot of work with the Axe3 and ressources may be focused on updates and checking every big name are happy (When you ship a new product to Vai, your’re better it works perfectly...!) BTW axe8 MK2 should follow with new Keystone...

hi, as AxefxIII will be usb compliant for audio interface relationship with iPad and recent Mac, was asking why not having an OFFICIAL APP for AxeFXIII from Cliff and Co... Would love to Update, load IR, edit presets and maybe more... [edited by mod] Cliff? What are your thoughts about it...

If it « bricks » the device while updating... I know that there’s an emergency procedure for flashing the device and go back to a secure firmware but who knows...

I prefer the modeling approach in absolute because of the 100% tweeking possibilities. But I think that if somebody could be sued it’s people who sell profiles... Fractal uses IR and modeling without trials issues, and suing is not very common on these small markets. We are not in Apple VS...

oh please yes modeling is great but it’s not as good for « tone matching » and having another technique to get the sound would be nice. For some guys who just don’t want to refine their patches to match their beloved amp and like the idea to « save » a particular sound chain it would be great to...

Which exact Keystone DSP in the Axe-Fx III?

It’s interesting also to know what DSP (and what kind of price) to think about the next step = Ax8 II, which could get one of these 1ghz Keystone... and be as powerful as an XL II.... TigerSHARC were a lot more expensive than Ax8 Sharc... but will it be the same for next gen...?

Hi, just took a look at instagram pics by Misha Mansoor, and some youtube videos from Marc Day, and noticed that on every pics the logo shows a thirds bar with dimmer blue light. Is that just a camera effect or is it something that was on the prototypes and plan to fix for production units? Thanks.

With the news of TigerSharcs stopping production, what does that mean for the Axe Fx?

The fact is that no more high end DSP means that Tiger Sharc DSP was a dinosaur. It costed a lot of money for a very little market. It’s like 12V motor. In a few years every car will be electric and you’ll see no more heavy, polluting and expensive fuel motors. It’s the same for TigerSharc kind...

It will come. With random dsp production and innovation in the years coming, Cliff will prefer relying on iOS or Mac/Pc, with specific usb audio interface/licence single. Tiger Sharc is not anymore and Cliff can’t find any replacement chip to handle quantum code. Pretty sure he wasn’t aware of...

Stainless steel frets is certainly the biggest last innovation, better sustain, glassy bendings, never wear, stay shiny, never rust! I've put them on all my strats, I mostly play Knopfkerish clean things and they don't change the sound, at least to my ears. If Tom Anderson, Suhr, Charvel...

From hardware comparison, considering DSP, helix and Ax8 have the same SHARC DSPs so if a regular Mac (or why not an iPad Pro) could run Helix Native, I think Cliff could easily port Ax8 Native. And why not AxeFX 2 with "performance" mode and "processing" mode for studio with extra calculation...

Hi! Apparently, the only way to get more horsepower without rewriting all the code and algorithms for next gen of AxeFX without TigerSHARC is multi-DSP architecture... Ok I know that adding a dsp also adds latency. But is that a problem? AxeFX2 latency is about 0,6ms for the processing and 0,4...

So no good news? Analogue Device didn't announced TigerSharc new generation? Seems that AxeFX 3 will just be a cosmetic update... maybe some iPad companion App (I mean "by Cliff") and maybe an AxeFX plugin? Helix Plugin has been announced this namm and it's quite interesting as it share the same...

I think that soon just mean "maybe one day". For now, the most important is to look for TigerSharc successor ;) Kemper will soon go for Kemper 2, so AxeFx3 must be in the pipelines....? Also Bias Head is VERY impressive... When they will make BiasFx rack version it will be very interesting...

I would spend 1500+ for a USB Audio Interface with secret sauce stuff and software protection that runs AxeFx plugin or standalone. Very disappointed by AX 8. Sound good but no USB interface is bad. In France, it cost 2000+ and you have to put more money for a good audio interface. Quite the...

so if I understand, better to order now one of the last FX2XL units and have the best hardware possible for the next century....?! Just googled TigerSharc and very surprised to see that it was mainly used in AxeFx and Origin Synth by Arturia. So the world don't need powerfull DSP anymore... Easy...
