Port of Axe III firmware to Axe II ?

Ad far as I can see, FAS is mostly a commercial project. So FAS will port a portion of the ARES to the Axe FX II to push maximum Axe-FX II owners to buy the Axe-FX III, when they hear the sound quality improvement, won't he ? Clever FAS. Money, money, money... Just kidding... Cheers

Yes I did. The tone is not dirty anymore but I can't get the tone of Edo's samples (punchy, bright tone). Still some kind of "dullness" with lows. I should tweak the EQ and/or try other IRs but I would need the help of Edo (the "service après-vente"). Cheers Olivier

Yes i tried that. It's not a good option in my humble opinion because it's way too sensitive. Only one small modification on the volume button changes the amount of drive drastically. I like to play with my guitare volume at max because i can easily have the same volume settings this way each...

Hi Tim ! How are you my friend ? Well, I also prefer Edge live tones. For example, I love the BAD tone he played in Rome during the Joshua Tree Tour 2017 with lots of grit and some fat but still tight lows. But really, the tone I get with Edo's presets is so dirty... to me, it cannot be compared...

My deep feeling since I bought the Axe-FX and read threads on the FAS forum is that AXE-FX is some kind of beta gear with perpetual firmware updates and lots of "uncertainties". It's certainly due to its great complexity. Some will say it's improving all the time, others will say it's not yet...

I came back to my axe-FX and tested the Left Only mode then the L+R Sum mode and then the Stereo mode (input 1 mode). In Stereo mode : no excessive drive In L+R Sum mode : more drive than in stereo mode In Left Only mode : much more drive than in stereo mode ... ??
