@GuttaLaser I'm using a Focusrite 18i20, and I tried forever ago to get it to work, but I like a clean workspace so I like to keep my AxeFx plugged into the back. The back 5 channels (3-8) apparently don't communicate with any sort of VOIP or voice communication and only 1/2 do. I guess it's a...
Here’s a photo. My focusrite Scarlett 18i20 is controlling all of my ins and outs, I’m running the axefx via USB to OBS because of how weird people audio and game audio work together
Hey guys,
With Covid-19 in full effect, I've decided to start doing some music streams along with my video game streams. I've succesfully been able to connect my guitar through the OBS Studio streaming software, but I'm running into a weird issue. When I play, my guitar is playing what sounds...
Hey thanks brother, it's the GGD Matt Halpern Signature Pack. All the samples are from his kit on Periphery 3: Select Difficulty.
Everything piece has basic mixing, EQ, compression, and reverb basically. I use a lot of trick from Periphery's former bass player (Nolly) to get specific pieces of...
Hey y'all,
I've been working on some more music as of late. I cranked out a tune inspired by The Haarp Machine for any of you metalheads out there. The Axe FX III came very much in handy getting all these tones. Let me know what you guys think!
@ccroyalsenders I hope you like this stuff as...
Hey guys,
My band and I acquired the AxeFx3 for our bass and guitar players and recently and we've been using it at shows with great success.
I've noticed the 2nd expression pedal port on BOTH FC12s for my guitar and bass player just don't work. I made sure the pedal was plugged in correctly...
@unix-guy I actually just figured out program changing...it seems I had to select the individual ports as the "Midi-OUT" and then leave them both as channel 1 respectively for each...
As far as scenes, do I need to set that in the units themselves? I thought they were defaulted to CC34 like in...
Hey guys,
I'm currently setting up two axe fx 3s for my band and I'm working through Cubase 9.5 trying to make patch and scene changes for each song we have. I'm using the Motu MicroLite for sending midi signals.
I've gone through the initial setup in the DAW (all channels are matching) and...
That's the thing, since I've learned guitar I always mute other strings while I'm tuning. In fact, I usually constantly pick the open string that I'm tuning to give it constant signal and only had a problem in rehearsal when other instruments are going.
Hey guys,
So the other day i noticed the MFC tuner was having a ton of trouble working at our rehearsals...basically anytime noise was made the tuner would go wild. Is there a workaround? Is it possible to have an external tuner work with the mfc other than running it straight from the axefx...
Hey yall does anyone know where you can still get labels for the mfc101? Seems most companies are “sold out”. I’ll settle for magents i can write on at this point
Just got the class, outstanding work duder @ccroyalsenders
Seriously, if you want to unlock the next generation of Fractal Audio potential, buy this class.
Hey All,
I'm back at it again with more metal tracks! Check it out and see if you like it.
Using AxeFx2XL into a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 and Cubase 9.5. Simple processing, nothing fancy.
Thanks for the replies guys, I guess maybe the motu might be the best option...is it possible to use just USB cables for each axe to do patch changes? Or would that screw with the protocol?
Hey guys,
I'm trying to set up 3 Axe FX II XL+ units for use with my band's live rig. At the moment, I've got all my patches and scene levels right, but now I'm trying to figure out how to program patch changes for all 3 units. I've got USB running into the first Axe, with cascading Midi Thru...
Hey Guys,
I'm also a little stuck here... I'm in the same position Dillonski was. I'm able to change patches just fine with Logic, but as soon as I put in a controller on CC34 for scene changes, nothing works.
I've exhausted all options at this point...is there something in the axe fx I need...
If I can be honest -from not only a creative but also a pragmatic standpoint- Having the ability to use 3 amps at the same time seems ridiculous but it can be extremely useful. I think having a 3rd cab block option would probably be necessary though...
I, for example, have started messing...
Hey all, back at it again with some more modern metal music!
In terms of production, this song is similar to the last song except for a couple of things: This one has EQ and Compression on most of the tracks (Drums, Guitars, Bass, Vox, etc.) I've slowly learned how to apply this to make a mix a...
Hey all. I’m relatively new to the forum, but I am an avid, long-time axe fx user.
I’ve finally built up both the skill and courage to record some new music, and i wanted everyone to check it out. If you’re into djent and the new metal scene, this will be right ip your alley.
Shout out to one...
I've just been using the OwnHammer IRs from a while ago. In my opinion, the "SS Live" ones sounds the best for both live and recording...although I haven't had the opportunity to be in a serious studio with the Axe FX. Two of my favorites for a good rock / metal sound is if you biamp a high gain...
I've played many a gig, and even indoors it can get nasty and humid. The solution? Not just a fan, a BLOWER. I've used this for only about a year now and it's drastically improved my comfort in every aspect of playing live. Doesn't hurt that it has adjustable speed and extra outlets for your...
