Axe-Fx III Firmware Version 10.02

Has anyone had any issues with updating to this firmware? My update froze at 73% during the file transfer and Fractal Bot states that it lost connection and to check to make sure the unit is powered on and to try again. I am hesitant to power off the unit for fear that it won't boot. Thoughts?

Fits like it was made for it. With a 6U, you will have even more room for the cables. I just tuck the excess from the power cable in along the side. Totally out of the way. Lids on both sides fit great!

If you have a volume block inserted, double check the channels on the volume block in Axe Edit to make sure they do not change when you sweep the volume pedal. That was my issue. Not sure about the system dump, that is, other than a normal backup with Fractal Bot.

Thanks for the suggestion. I made sure there were no audio cables near the midi cable. I have encountered the same issue before as well. I think it has to do with the way the MFC 101 is wired and using a separate adaptor along with a midi cable, rather than using the suggested FASLINK method...

Yes, I am controlling global output volume. No volume block added. I still get the spillover. Should I add a volume block and see if that fixes it? Strange that I did not have this issue with the IIXL+ and ran the MFC the same way as now.

Correct. Both have the same crackle, or zipper sound as you describe. And yes, I am connecting them to the MFC as expression pedals. Not sure where to check the damping value. I just set up a simple volume pedal, no modifiers that I know of.

Ok, just received the shallow version of the SKB Roto 4U rack. Here are some pics to give you an idea how the unit with a power conditioner fits. Cables all close up nicely with the back lid. I prefer the smaller footprint.

Thanks Zionplayer, I went into the Setup on the MFC and turned off the send with preset for IAs 1-15 and that solved the remainder of my issues! This forum is awesome!

I was looking at the shallow version and saw that the specs are confusing on Sweetwater's site. The description says the rackable depth is 10.5" but the tech specs say the internal depth from front of rack to back lid is 12.3"...

For those with both AXE FX II XL and AX-8....

I bought two XL+ units originally with the intent of leaving one in the studio and one at the church. My hope was to be able to just copy my tweaked presets and settings from the studio unit over to the church unit by using a thumb drive. Since that turned out to be a bit more time consuming...
