I like the ability to separate the FM3 and the FC6 in live applications. I only use the 6 buttons on the FC6 while it sits under my mic. I use the FM3 as the brains in my backline: further away from the beer swillers...

It was. All my switches were loose. My eyesight is getting worse. I brought it up to the workbench and tightened them all, the loosest was the one not functioning.

FYI I updated to 1.12 on my FC6 and within a couple of days the bottom right button stopped working consistently. I rebooted both the FM3 and the FC6 multiple times and it still malfunctioned. I just reverted to 1.11 and it's working again. I'll let you know if it stops.

How easy is it to hit the CPU limit?

I recently upgraded to the FM3 turbo and my patches that were topping out @80%+ of CPU are comfortably back down to 70%. I no longer max out like I used to at times.

FM3 issues with 2014 Mac

My 2011 Macbook Pro running High Sierra (the latest OS that will work on it) just stopped communicating with FM3 Edit. Been using it for 6+ years with no issues. Tried 3 other cables and different ports. Swapped in my 2015 Macbook Pro running Mojave and all is good. Kinda weird it just decided...

Update 2 for other X32 rack users who may experience the same phenomenon. If the gain is unexplainably and unusually hot on your channel, click and then unclick the phantom power button for that channel. Has worked every time so far.

Me too! Could not figure it out until I noticed that sometimes the channel level meter would only go up to 16 rather than the usual 60. I am on the most current firmware. Like I said I suspect it is the S16 my guitar is hooked up to. I haven't noticed the change on our separate gigrack X32.

Update. My X32 (or probably the S16 its hooked up to) is changing the gain input from time to time upon restart. I had all my FM3 scenes set to +4 and it was great one jam and then too hot the next. Before I realized this, I had reset my scenes to -11 and then the next jam it would be too low...

FM3 and X32 Gain Staging

Thx for replies. I've reached the desired channel level of -18db on the X32 by setting my FM3 to -10 global output and noon on the output knob. I'm using a variation of Austin Buddy's Live SV Bass preset as my base tone. Amp gain is 6 and master volume is 7. Overall FM3 preset level is set at -16dB.

I've been using this method for years. I've never encountered this issue with my BT01. It's dropped connection once or twice, but it's an easy reconnect. I've also hooked up a separate one to our Nord so it changes settings according to the song automatically.

Just recently my tuner, which is set to Input "mute" is now emitting sound when engaged. It is not the full sound of the patch; it sounds kind of like a pre-effects signal coming through. I don't remember adjusting anything. Any suggestions? Thx

Hi; Help! Just downloaded this patch but cannot get the gun to work. I followed the instructions and got the wah to work but when I look at the S02 Solo Raygun scene nothing happens and I don't know where to link the pedal to like I did with the wah in scene 1.

I just had this happen to me for the first time ever. Running 4.01 FM, connected to a MacBook pro using FM3 Edit. I have a Yamaha MD-BT01 hooked up so I can switch songs via MIDI on Bandhelper. I was experiencing the frozen pedal bug under 4.0, but it hasn't happened since I switched to 4.1.

Best way to level scene outputs?

I just spent 4 hours using my ears and the channel levels on my mixer to level out my setlist scenes. I'm going into an x32 rack and coming out of 2 EV ELX15P's. Played the gig and the soundman said the levels between scenes are still not consistent. What do you use to level out scenes...

P69 in manual: "On the MODIFIER screen (with the graph): Try Auto-Engage (“AUTOENG”) set to “SLOW SPD” to have your WAH (or other effect) turn on automatically when you push it forward and bypass again when you pull it back. No need for a toe switch!"

Nice to hear I'm not going crazy. Mosesblues let me know if it works for you. I checked in the manual and it said that the auto-engage should be set to slow if you want it to shut off. I checked, and mine were set to medium. I changed it to slow, but it made no difference, it still does not...

I just updated and I get a communicate time-out message: query_sys_info. Running 3.51; I manually deselected and reselected the ports. Still get the same message. Cannot connect with Fractal-bot either. It times out "while attempting to query the firmware version".
