    I can’t speak for the Matrix with the passive cab, but the active Xitone will rip your head off...I use a single Xitone active cab and it is WAY more than enough to be heard over a drummer. You could drown him/her out with ease if you wanted.

    First gig with the FC6. I am extremely happy with the results and such a small foot print! My only issue is with the case itself as the lip gets in the way of the bottom row just a bit, but was still usable. I might end up getting the "Glow Riser" later to solve that issue.

    I have a newer Xitone and have no hum issues. Def wait for a response from Mic, or if it's way out of warranty, talk to a local electronics shop. Sounds like an internal issue to me, especially since you can't replicate it with other equipment.
