Bug? Stand-In Switch Behavior with Tap + Hold

I think there’s a bug when transferring and FM3 preset to FM9. When I transferred my presets from the FM3 to FM9 the delays in those presets don’t work. IOW the delay is on but don’t hear any delay. I fixed this by just copying a delay block from a stock preset and it worked fine. Another issue...

I just had the same issue. Imported some presets from the FM3 to FM9 and the delay block on those presets are almost nonexistent even though the effect is running

But if you look at the initial announcement of the FM3 it says TBA for when it would start shipping. That’s not the case for the FM9

When the FM3 came out in April of 2019 it did not say “Now Shipping” instead said “TBA” so for the FM9 I expect them to be shipping to waitlist people soon. I don’t think they’ll lie to us. It just depends on how many they send out at a time

Wow thank you so much for your response. Love the possibilities of the FM9 and I love my FM3 but I’m ready to start expanding my fractal knowledge into some more unique presets. Wish I had some more CPU with my FM3 which is why the FM9 is a must.

Ok. I’m just trying to understand how some of you use the dual amp feature. I’ve seen some presets where they run the 2 amps parallel into one cab in stereo. I have some time to research before I get an invite to purchase.

AX8 2?

Do you think they’ll make the AX8 mark 2 more compatible in 4cm like FX8? Would love to have something with amp models but without having to own two separate boards. Seems like a lot of users like to use the AX8 in different ways and 4 cm being one of them but the FX8 is far superior in 4cm...

Just saw that Line 6 came out with the HX floor effects unit and it has the individual displays so I’m pretty sure Fractal will compete with that.

Wish FX8 more effects per preset

Would to see and FX8 with more effects per preset as well as another level of switches. Also would be awesome if they put individual displays for each switch like on the new FC6 and FC12.

Cool. Thanks! 1-127 is all the different amp feature combinations? Like GEQ1, Clean channel, no Reverb and Fx loop engaged would be a specific number between 1-127? I don't have the JP2C yet but Sweetwater is getting them in at the end of this week. ! Just wanted to be a head

I'm trying to do the same thing with my FX8. I want to work it like I did with my Ground Control Pro. I want the 8 switches to switch between presets or similar to the way you have it. I'm not trying to tap dance

Pretty much similar to how a Ground Control Pro works where the bottom 4 switches are your presets and the other 8 were the instant access. I just want it like the bottom 4 switches on the GCP

I don't have my FX8 and JP2C yet. But Roxy said: "Exactly, I think the JP-2C has an identical MIDI feature set. I just go into FX8 Configuration, scroll down to the PC (program change, 1-127) [on MESA, Bank 1) and turn the dial until the amp features I want are all selected. Save on"

I'm actually getting an FX8 in a few days to replace my 5150 stealth and the JP2C (within a few weeks). How's the gate on the FX8 when play on the lead channel or high gain through the amp? I don't plan on using ODs just yet. Just wanted to know if the gate can handle high gain at loud volumes.

Can somebody guide me with 4 cable method?

Yes they're turned up. I have out 1L going to EVH fx return and in1-L going to EVH effects send. Input 1 left select is rear and there are no amp or can blocks. It sounds like I have the fx loop plugged in backwards on the amp, nothing coming out of the amp but a muffled signal.
