    If you're playing with high gain, I think the digital artifacts get masked pretty well to the point where no one can't tell if you're using a digital detuner or actually detuning. But with mid-gain and cleans, yeah it's pretty obvious that nothing out yet is quite perfect.

    Yep, but with the Dweezil it's only happening when the sat switch is engaged and gets worse as you turn up the saturation drive. With the Diezel's it also gets worse with the saturation turned on and turned up, but it's also noticeable without the sat switch being turned on at all.

    Yeah, in 3.02, something was wrong with the gain on that one as well. I didn't spend much time with the old Brit Silver so I can't say if that's what's going on with the Dizzy, too. I'm definitely not going to be degrading my firmware just to find that out haha

    I'm switching between them with the amp list, using their settings as they are with the gain on 4. The bright switch is engaged with channel 4 and not engaged with channel 3, but I've messed with that and it has no impact on the gain structure issue.

    More gain, yes, but when I turn the gain down on channel 4 to compensate, the buzziness remains. The notes just die out, you can hear it with the chugs.

    It is possible that the real amp's 4th channel really is this buzzy sounding, but it sounds way too buzzy relative to the third channel. Turning down the gain doesn't help, either. EDIT: This is occurring on the second channel as well.

    My guess is that your AX8 is attenuating -10dB on the FX return when it should probably be at +4dB. That can be adjusted in the I/O menu in the settings (or one of the other menus, I can't remember off the top of my head; it's one of the three.)
