    all I wanted to follow up, I haven’t had a chance to get back in front of my mixer but it does appear the issue was external to the Axe, as I said I am very aware of how that particular block works and know how to set it up to avoid collapsing it to mono.

    There is a factory preset called 80’s clean or compressed clean that is already pretty close. Also check out the gift of tone from Guthrie Govan, it’s a very nice compressed clean you would just need to add chorus and eq appropriately.

    Yes generally when you hook the axe up to your computer via usb, the computer will output via the axe unless told otherwise.

    That’s the narrow sweep, basically instead of a wah pedal going all the way back into heel down position, it’s going from toe down to about 1/4 to 1/2 up.

    There is a factory preset in the axe, I think it’s called funk wah (preset 83 in bank B) or something to that effect that could give you a starting point.

    Basically that specific effect is an auto-wah with a small sweep on the frequencies and looks like it’s set to trigger on how hard you hit the strings.

    You can absolutely do it like that. When I first got my fractal axe-fx ii I didn’t have enough time to get my presets just how I wanted them so I just used a factory preset (jtm 45 if I recall correctly) with some minor tweaks on cab hi/lo cut and it covered 99% of the gig for me

    Sorry didn’t see where you said that, and it sounded like clipping on my speakers. It may be a setup issue on your guitar if it’s just those two strings. Don’t know why you aren’t hearing it on a tube amp.

Currently if I am on preset 000 and press bank up it goes to preset 010, I want it to go to 005. What do I need to adjust...

    If you do it this way you will not have the band in your IEM’s you will only have your guitar. The best thing to do is run your IEMs off the monitor/aux mix of your mixer and EQ it there.

    You could probably set something up to do this...would probably be easier to do it as a per-preset foot switch assignment and assign the pad to the hold function of a foot switch. But to be honest the expression pedal would be the ideal way.

    Is the FM3 reliable to you ?

    I have been using my steadily on gigs since I got it back in November, both on guitar and bass. The only time I had an issue is when I stepped on two switches at once. A quick reset after the song and it was good to go.

    The way you are describing it, I don’t think it’s possible I could be wrong. But once you put the in the grid they are all active, I imagine you could set a switch to on short press turn on chorus, long press turn on flanger but I think that’s the extent.

    Yeah I know those are factors as well...it’s not so much quality of sound I noticed...but more of a perception of sounds. I use the Carvin IEM’s so they are a decent mid grade unit.

    @unix-guy yes to all. I should add what I did was @austinbuddy’s trick for making sure wah wasn’t on all the time for his live gold pack...and when I did that it seemed to disable all wah in other presets and I can’t get it to come back.
