    Not the same effect on the tone as the volume knob on your guitar. However, it will reduce the input signal etc….. lower gain etc…. I see your point now if you are close to CPU limit this is a clever solution. I play live and try and use as many global settings and controls as possible.

    I should point you there is a difference between the Show and Browse buttons as well. Show opens a generic file browser window. This uses the Windows file handler and will open the zip file (Thanks Dave P.) and will show you the contents however, you will be prompted to choose an app to open it...

    Except that Fractal Bot will expand the zip file on Windows and you cannot select anything that is not a .syx file on Mac.

    Good point. Would it not prompt you if there is a release that is a version above the beta version. Or do the betas really not check at all? I do not recall the coffee is not working today.

    Try setting the fractal to a blank or empty preset slot then try again.

    Yes, you can I have mine setup like this. However, you have to add some "feet" to the bottom to allow airflow as there is a fan/air intake on the bottom. I added some wooden slats to the bottom see pic.

    Yeah being a windows and Mac user for some years I will say. Windows will auto switch to whatever interface was connected last. Mac tends to stick with the one you set.

    I have a K&K as well and plug directly into my AX3 and FM9 and play live all the time with it. This issue here is going to be the input level on the input block or also the output level on the output block.

    I use an acoustic with no preamp (just he K&K transducer) and it works just fine. You can adjust the input level for the preset in the input block. Can you post your preset? I can take a look at it.

    I get what you are saying. The copy and paste blocks between presets is one of the best quality of life features in the Fractal Editor.

    Yeah, it will only add a AMP1 if a AMP2 is already present. Also true for each effect. I have started playing with templates for reusable amp effects layouts that I seem to build often.

    Interesting as you can name them in the block library when you save them.

    The steps are right click is the editor then choose library and then save for they block type. You can then recall that block with your settings by right clicking in a empty block and choosing recall then the block type etc… Hope this helps. Saves me a lot of time as well.

    You don't really need another USB audio interface but that is an option I recommend. I use the XLR outs into a USB audio interface in order to setup my presets for playing live. However, if you are just recording etc, nope just one USB cable into your mac will be enough.

    I own a FM9 and Axe Fx 3. They both are muted and do not pop from the XLR ports when powered on.

    Yeah that might work. I have a small nylon bag for all my cables, IEM etc that goes in my guitar case. What you pointed out gave me the idea of cutting the middle out of the foam to make room for the bag.

    Here is mine. I was able to fit this in the Gator Helix Floor case with wheels. Very portable. I took off the end caps and mounted the FM9 and EV-2 to two boards. Looks a little odd but has been working well for several months. Very solid.

    I am not clear on the dimensions but here is a shot of the top inside the case. Those 2 foam pads are 1.75 inches thick. The longer foam piece is .25 inches. You can see were the foot switches have indented the form. Hope this helps.

    I was able to fit the FM9 and EV-2 in the Gator Helix Floor case. However, I had to remove the end caps for it to fit. See photo. The FM-9 and EV-2 are about 23 1/4 inches in length if that helps. There is no room for cables BTW.

    I think the helpful thing to do here is to wait for him to calibrate the pedal and also provide the model. I have a Boss pedal that does not work correctly with any Fractal unit since the AX8. Maybe you missed that one.

    @Dino334 So looked your preset on my Axe Fx 3 and FM9. Works fine. Go to setup > I/O then Page over to Pedal go down to Calibrate PEDAL 1 press enter. Now follow the prompts to calibrate the pedal travel. Also brand and model are you using for a pedal?

    The calibration comes into play for the entire travel of the pedal.

    Because the block is not actually set to be bypassed on heal down. The heel down setting to disengage the WAH does not work correctly if the pedal is not calibrated correctly. Calibrate the pedal and then try again. This is why @GlennO and I cannot duplicate the problem.

    Try turning off the RGB lights inside of your PC and see if that helps. I have a gaming keyboard and mouse and the RGB has to be off or get major noise. Hope this helps.

    I have run into a similar result. I just build a setlist of 5 presets on 4.0 beta. After updating to the current final release, I had to re-level a few of the preset as the levels defiantly changed. Not unexpected when running a beta firmware. Pretty much the price of admission.

    The release notes for the FM9 Edit beta clearly calls out support for 4.0 public beta 2. If you are running 4.0 Beta 2 you should install the current FM9 Edit beta 2 as well.
