    to remove the down time I personally use 2 preset with 2 amp tone. in each preset I use 3 scenes : 1-Clean ( no amp block, only EQ, comp and a Cab block) 2- main disto ( amp block on with Cab on Y) 3- lead ( same as 2 with delay, volume boost and overdrive to taste ) it's 100% gap free.

    if you can't export them properly you can creat a new IR and use the Axe as your source. make a preset with only a Cab Block and a strate line. use something like Voxengo to capture IR and you will have a exacts copy of your IR in wav format.
