IEM gurus, i need help

Right on, once i saw his mix, and i turned me up, he was much happier. His ears were like $2k and mine were like 50 but they are better than stock shures. I was just curious why he's getting this weird level difference with similar guitars. could be the brighter ones are cutting more

PSA: Harbor Freight Apache 9800 Cases for $99

I don't know if they changed sizes, but i just got an Apache 5800. The FM9 does not fit. It's like 1/8" wider than the case.

My iems were cutting out on me bad. I couldn't hear the other guys on stage over the drummer. I did kneel down and turn up. Had plenty of stage volume. We didn't get much time to soundcheck and ran our own pa. My preset has two different boosts. A 3 db for rhythm single notes and a 6 db lead...

I used to have the FM3. I sold it to ffund the FM9. Sry should have been more clear. I am on the waitlist, but the more i play out, the more I'm thinking about going with the FC12 for my FX3 since i have the FC6 now. Option paralysis lol.

About the role of a compressor

Just curious. I don't really use compression. But, i have three main guitars for my band. Two have identical pickups. The guys say that of those two, one is incredibly louder than the other. Will a compressor help with that? I don't have them on me right now to compare wave data

I have mine one too. The handles of the fractal stick out 1/8" too far and the velcro cover won't stay on.

Didnt get much recorded. no one stuck around after a 5 band set. FoH sounded great. i used the AFX3, Duncan Powerstage 700 into a v30 cab. Killer stage tone. Direct, i ran York Audio Mesa Oversized Mix#4. Spawn QR for midgain rhythm and Nitro for heavy rhythm and leads

Software FracPad III - iOS/Android/Mac/Win Editor for the Axe-Fx II/XL/XL+, AX8/FX8, Axe-Fx III and FM3/FM9

Gotcha. Im up and running with the FM3 and Fracpad on IOS and newest bt01 firmware. NI just need the camera cable to do any kind of backup. My windows tablet (asus t100) won't even load fracpad but it's ok because it will run AxeEdit via usb, which is what i use for my AxeFX3.

I'm totally new to FracPad. I have it hooked up to an FM3 with a MD-bt01. I im assuming you can't back up the unit without a camera cable. Wont read my cabs unless i prompt it to at setup. Also assuming that BT functionality doesn't work with Axe Edit in the same manner. I can live with that...

I think i figured it out. The tip and switch lugs are supposed to touch when no jack is inserted. Mine weren't. They never touched so that leads me to believe that the piezo was powered on at all times.

I wanted to take my FM3 to band practice by itself, no fc6. I have it set up in scene mode with the switches setup as toggles between 1/4, 2/5, and 3/6. I want to set it up with the scene displaying the current scene. What's happening is when i set it up to show current names, all three scenes...

If you had a mixer you could pull that off. Even then, it wouldn’t sound or feel exactly like being in the room with it. When I play my 5150 3 combo, I get this really cool midrange snarl with it. Using the same settings with the Axe FX model with practically ANY EVH cab ir, its just not there...

Not really sure. Just enough to get those speakers pumping. Speakers are about 3 ft apart pointed at my chair. Had the phone a stand in between them I still need to get some recording type stuff figured out but I like where this is going.

Just messing with a few amps/tones inspired by Eddies modern tone. Not perfect by any means and i have no idea how it would work in a band context. It sounds nice and wide on my monitors, but i would normally turn the expander off. Let me know what you guys think...

Delay level lower than dry level when 100% wet

Ive noticed that as well with the Pitch Block, Detune. When it's on, theres a dip in volume, maybe 2 or 3 db. Input gain maxed, Mix anywhere from 17 to 25%. EQ at default settings. Level needs to be bumped up to match non bypassed levels. Maybe its just normal. Just something i noticed.

FC Internal Firmware 1.11

I rolled back firmware from 12.08 to 12.5 because i was watching Lucas LeComptes video on the Triple Crest and my unit had about half the gain that he did. He was on 12.05. Once i did, i lost all the layouts on my FC6. I figured it out by resetting back to defaults on the controller page.

My wife has ocd. One day I printed a picture of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, put it in a frame but put the frame on the wall crooked. Glad i didn’t have a Fractal at that moment

George Lynch - “Kiss of Death” Tone Preset!

Nice! I was jammin with the 1970 Plexi for a while today. Those AX cabs in factory 2 are awesome. Im gonna throw some evh pitch detune on that. Solo 100 Rhythm works well with that preset too.
