Best power amp for a real cab with the Fractal Axe FX III

I have a Rocktron Velocity 300 on sale on Reverb that I used to use with mine before I got my Friedman ASC-12. Thats only 1 rack space and it has Presence and Resonance knobs for each channel. That worked good for me with my Mesa 2x12.

Mark V:25 vs AX8

Got mine in Germany on Thursday. I'm overwhelmed!

The tones and possibilities are endless! I made one "original" preset! Powerball + cab. I just used the conventional tone controls for the Powerball sum and it sounded fantastic! Mark 2C+ is next on the list!!!

Studio monitors, should i upgrade?

Then I would look at something other than the HS8"s. I have the Presonus Eris E8's that I run my AX8 through. I really like them and they are very popular on the board. KRK's are infamous for coloring your sound and being wildly inaccurate. They design them to be so they sell more monitors.

AX8 to Alesis Multimix 10 to monitors

Hi. Bought and returned a Focusrite 18i20. Couldn't get that to work. Now I have the Alesis on order. Anyone have any experience with the product? What would be the best way to connect the AX8 to it? What kind of cables? Thanks!

Connecting Presonus E8 to audio source and AX8?

I ended up getting the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20. Have to build my studio desk and route everything before I can try. Thinking of getting a tv for between monitors and run the optical out into the 18i20 to put tv sound through the Eris E8's too.

I just think the Ax8 is a much more sound financial and tone decision! I could NEVER justify the expense of an Axe-Fx 2 but a product $1000 less with the same amp modeling?!? Im IN!!

How many people have sold ALL of their gear and now have to hang around without an amp?

I sold my Axe-Fx Standard but I still have my Mark 5:25 until I get the Axe8. At that time I hope to unload the Mesa to fund most of the Axe8.

How could that be? The waitlist opened up late on October 13th! I got my confirmation at 8:08 am October 14th. If I'm waiting MONTHS then that list must be just UNGODLY long. Can't imagine that many before me.

Now I'm leaning towards the Tannoy Reveal 802 because of the iPod input that the others doesn't have. Anyone have experience with the Tannoys? Saw Pete Thorns review of the smaller ones. Thats what turned me on to them. Thx!

Leaning towards the JBL's after reading several reviews and what's been posted here. Seem to be just as good or better than the Yamaha HS8 for $100 less per monitor. Keep the input coming though!

I play metal stuff mostly. Pantera, Megadeth, Metallica, and Dream Theater stuff. Just a bedroom hack. If I ever do go play with someone I have a Mesa Mark 5:25 for that. I also do ZERO recording or mixing so that won't come into the equation at all for me.
